The Getty is the best bargain in LA. It's Free! The Getty has something for everyone.... actually a lot of things for everyone. I liken it to a stroll through humankind's global achievements. Favorite moment was van Gogh's Irises. Beautiful gardens - we enjoyed a landscape architectural briefing. You're encouraged to walk (and roll downhill) on the grass. The Cafe had plenty of tasty choices which were reasonably priced. Give yourself lots of time and then plan to go back and back again. Parking is $15; a tram takes you from the lot to the collections. Don't miss the outdoor sculptures outside of the parking area. So many missed the gems as they rushed to get home. Lots of families and things to keep the young ones engaged.

It's a little over-crowded and you have to take a tram from the parking lot, but once you get used to that, it's pretty fabulous.

Love'd it again. Like seeing an old friend that you love to visit with. The museum was fabulous per usual but it was a clear February day and the sights from the museum deck and tram were incredible!! ( Parking has gone up to $15 but it's still a great deal.)

I lived in LA for 3 years and finally went here a few months before I moved away. It's a must see for multiple reasons. Gorgeous views if nothing else, definitely come for the day- you can spend a few hours or much longer here but it's worth the visit!

Go. Period. Even if you just sit outside and have lunch. There's so much to see, so well organized and something for everyone
