“Fantastic Restaruant, Bar, & Bakery”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2013

The restaurant is amazing! There is so much activity with the large open design. You are is the injected into the center of the restaurant, bar, bakery and food-prep area when you make your table request. The crowd and energy let you know you are in for a special dining experience. Great Staff work as team and the managers are extremely involved with their teams to ensure you experience is remembered. The menu options are great and the waiters are happy to help on any questions or provide recommendation. There will be wait if you hit the restaurant at peak hours but it is worth it (no reservations taken).

“Second visit was awesome!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2013

Decided to come back to this place for lunch on a weekday. I was not too impressed with my first visit, which was breakfast on a weekend. Really glad I came back. This is a large restaurant with a bakery area, a coffee/bar area, and a dining area. Its a nice place, but loud and busy. Service was really good. I had a pasta dish, I think it was linguini, with arugula, cherry tomatoes, and cheese. Their pasta is home-made and really good. It comes with mozzarella and parmesan. Pasta was $14. Had a nice glass of wine with lunch too. Generous pours, I would guess 250mL? They will give you a half pour too if you want. I will come back and try more items. This place is as casual or formal as you want it to be. Good for any occasion.

“Lobster Hash - yes please!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 18, 2013 via mobile

A friend from LA recommended this place and boy was it worth the drive into downtown LA. The space is beautiful and the dessert menu alone is worth the trip but our brunch was seriously out of this world. Lobster Hash for breakfast - now that's eating like a celebrity.
I'll be back and next time for lunch or dinner so I can enjoy those desserts. I need to know if those macarons are as good as La Dure in Paris.

“Fantastic food - worth the wait”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2013

Searching for a dinner location, we came upon this highly rated restaurant. The ratings it was given was spot on and I too rate this very high. The menu has so many options that it will take you a while to choose. They do have small plate options so that you can taste a variety of food like the meatballs and portabella fries (terrific). Pizzas are great and the desserts are fantastic. You must try the macaroons. So order a dessert that you can't take home and carry out the macaroons. So many flavors to choose from. The don't take reservations so you will wait a long time in the evening but they are open for lunch and breakfast. I will go back to the restaurant when I get back to LA. It is noisy and a tightly packed area, but you will quickly become used to it.

“Unique DT experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2013

The food here is amazing, even though their dishes are kind of pricey. The atmosphere is very typical of a downtown urban area. The restaurant when I went was VERY busy, but the waiters still had a great attitude and worked very fast and efficiently, nonetheless their whole restaurant was designed in a very convenient manner. Additionally, there are a lot of delicious pastries to look at (entertain yourself) while waiting in line for your seats. I would recommend coming with a big group of friends and not young children, and share a combination of small dishes. :)
