love , love , loved it. My daughter, spouse and myself took this tour. I learned so much on this one. Our guide knew every street and building and people that worked or died in it. that's awesome. I highly recommend this tour and do dine at the Kitty and the fiddle which is right across the street. Also best place ever.

“The best tour in LA”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

I went on the Dearly Departed tour and had Brian Donnelly as my tour guide. Brian has a fantastic wealth of information and is a wonderful tour driver (the best in LA - no joke). He encourages passengers to get out of the bus to take photos. I have photos outside the Viper Room and the George Michael Memorial Bathroom. Brian has such a keen interest in movies, TV and celebrities and he knows his information. They also supply a folder of the places and stories and this helps if you take a photo of the page in the folder and then a photo of the attraction so you don't forget what you took a photo of. This was the best tour that I did in LA and it was a highlight of my trip. Brian also makes an effort to learn everybody's names and back stories and he's very genuine in his love of customers and he encourages passengers to add to the commentary. The Dearly Departed shop front has some wonderful and weird memorabilia and Brian and Scott are more than happy to have a chat about the items. They both love their jobs and it shows in how the tour is organised. I can't recommend this enough. If you do one tour in LA, make it this one.

“An excellent evening, money well spent :o)”

Brian our guide rocked our tour! We are native San Diegans but decided to have a mini staycation in SoCal and ended up making reservations for this tour. Yes, it's true, you must have a somewhat "odd, perverse, weird" streak in you to enjoy this tour but if you do, you won't be disappointed.

There are other reviews here better and more detailed than mine but know this...we are an older couple, me with bad knees and a bladder the size of a peanut. The walking was minimal, there was a bathroom stop and we were seriously engaged the entire time.

Afterwards, tip well, I think they must count on those little goodies but it was easy to do with such an awesome guide. Stop at Skooby's Hot Dogs down the way to have a killer hot dog and maybe drive the short distance to the Museum of Death on the same street but opposite side...oh what a date night you'll have "oD

You get your money's worth on this tour. A lot is packed in to the time and no time is wasted like other tours. Would highly recommend. Richard was very knowledgeable.
