Owner description: Restored, historic library with Egyptian influenced architecture.

Located right in downtown LA, the LA County Library is an amazing building. It's huge - the biggest library I have ever been in. You could spend hours here looking at everything. It is quite impressive - the volumes of works contained inside, as well as the interesting architecture. Unfortunately, parking is a pain to find - there is a garage but you have to pay to park there. But don't let that deter you -- this is a great library that will knock your socks off!

Gorgeous building. The most vast collection of cook books you could ever imagine. The staff is very helpful, you'll need it since its so big. Great Children's area. I loved it.

The L.A. Central Library was just named one of the most beautiful libraries in the world - and with good reason. Please go upstairs and visit the rotunda with its beautiful murals. They have revolving exhibitions highlighting significant moments in L.A. and California's history. And the newer section is dramatic and beautiful. Truly a downtown oasis

I remember when this library was restored after a horrible fire. It was a gem, something Los Angeles could be proud of, but no longer. I was downtown so went to the library and while there went to use the lavatory. All of the doors have been removed from the stalls. A pigpen would be cleaner. Disgusting. Do not even think of going there.
