Finally, we found a great breakfast place! The portions are large, so if you try their signature breakfast French Toast, make sure you order the half portion. The service was good, the menu is extensive, with a mix of traditional American and Middle Eastern selections. I can't wait to try their lunch or even dinner. Conveniently located, ample parking, patio seating as well as conventional and even though it was full, you still got excellent service. Homemade Hummous and middle eastern appetizers to eat their or take home. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. So tired of the same old mundane breakfast eateries. Very refreshing.

In all fairness, it was just breakfast. Food was fine, although the eggs were a tad cold, and the service was a bit slower than it should have been. Prices were also a little higher than the quality warranted. Nothing terribly wrong, but haven't been back in a while and in no rush to go back.

My husband and I, along with about 20 friends had breakfast at Emle’s on Friday 6/8/12. Emle’s serves California and Middle Eastern Cuisine. The owner’s name is Nick and he is very kind. He started his restaurant in 1955 in Carmel where Emle’s gained fame for its breakfasts, especially it's French Toast. When his kids went to college, he moved the restaurant to Northridge. The atmosphere is nice & bright with two of the walls being windows. It had a clean, happy, cheerful feel.

I had the All Fresh Vegetable Omelet ($9.99) and made it an egg white omelet, fresh fruit, and the banana bread. I loved my omelet – fresh tomatoes, mushrooms, green onions, and bell peppers. You can have a choice of cheese, but I chose not to have cheese. The banana bread is home-made by Nick himself, and it was really good!

My husband ordered Nick’s Special ($11.99) - 3 Eggs, 3 Bacon, Sausage, Ham, & Choice of Potato, Tomato, Cottage Cheese or Fresh Fruits, & Toast, Pancake or Half Classic French Toast. And to share with everyone, he also ordered a half order of their famous French toast ($6.99) - unique, batter cooked, thick egg bread and beautifully topped with powdered sugar, cinnamon and crushed almonds. It’s really a funnel cake on top of French toast! There’s regular maple syrup, and a home-made syrup that Nick made with cinnamon and cardamom.

The food is great, and so is the service! I plan to come back for lunch or dinner. I’ve heard they serve great Middle Eastern food.
