As a mother and daughter travelling we both thought this was a great hotel, not flash but everything we needed, We were upgraded from a double room to a suite without any cost.
It was a great location and Brian at the desk gave us any info or maps we needed when we told him each day where we wanted to go, couldn't have done it without him. Stayed 6 nights and would stay again.

We loved this motel and it could not have been better located! We didn't have a car and so used the underground quite a lot. The Hollywood and Western station was only a 2 minute walk away so we could access lots of areas very quickly.  Only 2 stops way from the walk of fame and all the touristy stuff that goes with it. About 3 stops to Universal Studios.

There is also a supermarket right next door so you can fill your room fridge up with water / milk / fruit. You can also borrow plates / bowls and cutlery from the hotel so you could easily eat breakfast in your room every morning. We usually just went to Starbucks which was next door to pick up a coffee / fruit cup etc to start the day.

The room itself was spotless as was the bathroom - top marks for cleanliness!  Free wireless internet was fast and always online.  The bed was really comfortable and the pool / spa area was clean and quiet.   The laundry room was excellent and only $2 to wash and $2 to dry, you could also use the computer and a microwave in that room.

There are a couple if really good places to eat nearby! The Dixie Hollywood which was just round the corner on Hollywood Blvd do a great brunch and on our last night we found a great Thai place just across the road from the Dixie which was super cheap (around $7 a meal) and very tasty!

This is an excellent choice for those who don't want to break the bank, have comfort and cleanliness high on their agenda and want to be in a great location.  I certainly wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Fantastic location very close to the metro station, starbucks, grocery store etc. The hotel itself is lovely and secure, beautiful pool, jacuzzi and garden. The room was great- clean & cool with a large fridge.

Just to echo what others have said, don't be put off by the kerb appeal. Once inside it's great. It's got everything you need for a stay in LA. It could do with a bit of TLC here and there but look past that and for the price it's a bargain!

Friendly, helpful staff, clean rooms and close to all of the attractions in central LA. We had a room right at the back of the hotel which was very quiet.
