The hotel and room a distinct vibe to it, like I just checked into a dark version of Casablanca. Location was great for downtown LA. The room and bed were comfortable but the TV was old. It wasn't HD flat screen. Average hotel that won't kill your wallet.

the room and hotel itself had a lot of character in the structure but it was antediluvian for my taste. maybe it's just my picky nature, but the tv was old and not in HD. however, the room was clean and the bed was really comfortable so that made up for it. if you're interested in staying in a historical Moroccan vibe, this place should be good for you. as for me, i felt a dark eerie vibe from the ambience.

I had to participate at a pitch at a conference in downtown LA and Figueroa Hotel turned out to be a nice choice. It's within walking distance to the Conference Center (less than 10 min), not expensive and the staff at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. I am not sure if there is room service 24h, the bar was often closed;

Moroccan themed hotel with a cool, funky vibe. I had a small sized room but the bathroom was huge! Place was very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The cafe downstairs had a breakfast bar which was incredibly cheap. I was paying $6 a day for a decent sized breakfast and a coffee! (and a refill coffee at that). Hotel is right near staples centre and metro station. Supermarket down the street and the pantry cafe which is open 24/7. For the price, you can't get much better.

We arrived late in the evening and were assigned to a room with 2 double full-size beds. We were not thrilled with the size of the room/bathroom, but knew we were only there to sleep. However, we upgraded the next day to 2 queen beds, and were pleasantly surprised in the difference between room sizes. We had plenty of room and more to enjoy our stay! I would highly recommend the queen room, and am pleased with the cleanliness.

If you are looking for a unique experience, this is it. My teenagers enjoyed the decor too. If you're looking for a 5-star hotel, this may not be the one for you.

First of all you have to request a reservation which is very inconvenient…but I did because it looked like a nice hotel. I received an email back which stated EXACTLY…"we have rooms at $148". THATS IT….not a "hope you can stay with us, or "look forward to hearing from you", or "call if you have any questions", NOTHING. Not even a Best Regards or Sincerely…just his name Uno. I really hope he isn't the manager. So for me that is a turn off and don't feel welcome at his hotel at all. Hope this helps.
