“Delicious food”

We loved Gjelinas - one of our favourite meals whilst in the US recently. Great atmosphere. Bit of a wait as you cann't book but very friendly about it and kept us informed. Lamb chops better than in Australia !

“All I can say is "Wow"”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

I adore good, fresh food and am used to such, living in France, but this restaurant really hit me between the eyes. We went early just to have a bite before the crowd, as I had heard it is difficult to get in. We sat outside in their patio by the fire pit and had several dishes to share. The okra dish was out of this world- accompanied by a tasty rosé...I recommend it highly for its fresh vegetables and innovative dishes. A big YES!

“Locavores Unite!”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

Venice, Venice, Venice, this restaurant is all about its location. Yummy farmer's market veggies, classic LA thin crust pizza, roasted cauliflower, eggs and prosciutto, kale salad, charred lettuce, and butterscotch dessert. The crowd may look daunting but they're not. just go at off hours so you can get in.

“Buzzy, informal, fabulous”
Reviewed October 22, 2012

What a cool place with superb menu expertly delivered. Make sure you try anything with tomatoes- they will be the finest you have ever had the good fortune to try. Feels so California in there- with a mix of people- celebs and regular! I would recommend this place most for brunch and they also have an outside seating space but make sure you book as it is very busy even towards the end of lunch. It was one of the nicest meals we had but it is a little out of the way to go to if you are not in the area. However you can make a day trip out of it as it is close to Marina del Rey area and along Abbot Kinney Road with its little shops good for window shopping.

“OUTstanding food-If you can stand the sound barrier being broken”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

Definitely hold out to sit in the patio so you can thoroughly enjoy your food.
The waiter was excellent-The hostesses made up for the long wait to be seated with champagne and desserts (it was my girlfriends birthday). Class act.

I loved eating the smoked trout with grapefruit, avocado, red onion and lemon, the Tuscan kale and the grilled rapini with garlic, chili and vinegar. Overall a a delicious experience.
