“An outstanding performance with fabulous acoustics”

while there are many stairs to be climbed depending upon where you sit (because the elevators fill up quickly) and the long rows of seats make it necessary to climb over many people to find yours if you near the middle, this is the most remarkable modern symphony center I have had the pleasure to enjoy; between conductor Gustavo Dudamel and architect Frank Gehry they have a winner

If you're lucky enough to score tickets, don't miss it. In the winter they perform at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, in summer the Hollywood Bowl (when they're not touring around the world). Young maestro Gustavo Dudamel from Venezuela, long hair flying all over the place, is the most exciting and dynamic conductor on the planet. The husband of one of my colleagues is a lead violinist, and every few months they invite us to their home for chamber music jam-session potluck parties with the musicians.

An excellent afternoon for anyone who enjoys fine music, and a visual treat in the modernistic music hall. Would not recommend for kids or non-musically-inclined adults.
