Stayed here for business, over all it was a good hotel. Pros: very nice staff, easy access to the airport, plenty of parking spaces, comfortable beds. Cons, more cons than pros in this case. Without the Westin brand, this hotel is actually pretty nice, but consider it's a Westin, standard should be higher. The hotel rooms really need updates, the towels are very old and hard. Plastic cups are more suitable for cheaper hotels. Parking was expensive, but that seem to be the norm for these airport hotels. Overall, I would recommend the hotel pays more attention to details,otherwise, decent place to stay if you need to be close to LAX.

Room Tip: Ask for one facing opposite to airport runway.

We arrived in Los Angeles after a 13 hour flight from Brisbane Australia. Got to the hotel at 8am. All we wanted to do was take a shower and change our clothes. Thinking we may not be able to check in for a few hours we were quite surprised our room was ready for us. The rooms were absolutely beautiful and luxurious. Very close to the airport . Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend to anyone

This is a great place. Beautiful Hotel, Great and caring staff. this staff knows how to take care of guests and they know where their checks come from, us the travelers and they are not afaraid to show it with a smile. This staff will bend over backwards to help you. Great restaurant. This place is centrally located by the Airport and many restaurant choices in the area. I would higly recommend this Hotel to a one night traveler or any vacationer. the rooms are excellent, very comfartable and very well lite.

I have stayed here multiple times, and it had been over a year since I was here last. Hearing that they had done some long needed renovations, I decided to give it a try. As a Starwood Platinum member, I expect to get a pretty decent room. I asked the front desk person if I had been given a renovated room, and he told me that they were constantly refreshing the rooms. That should have been my first clue that I was in for a disappointment. The room was in desperate need of a renovation- the rug, the furniture, the bathroom. Everything seemed old and worn out - not what you may expect at a Westin. The shower took multiple attempts to actually get working. There are other better options nearby, like the Hyatt LAX, that I have better accommodations, staff, and at a better price point.
I won't be earning my Starwood points here.

Nice and clean, plenty of pillows, and soft bed. Good menu at the bar. Friendly staff and service. The breakfast on the 12th floor was a little better than expected. The reason it didn't get a 4 or 5 rating, though nice, it's a westin and it wasn't quite as nice as other Westin's I've stayed.

Stayed here in January 2013 and had no reason to choose any other LAX hotel.
Like previous visit we stayed for the first two nights of our holiday. The Free Shuttle bus only takes minutes to get to the hotel, but again like previous stay would have been helpful if there were bell staff available to take all our bags from the shuttle bus but there were none in sight.

Again like last time that aside we could not fault this hotel, the room was spacious, modern and clean. Breakfast at the hotel grill was very reasonably priced and had a very varied choice and the food was wonderful.

Some have commented on the noise from the airport, previously we had a room overlooking the front of the Hotel which was quiet. This time we had a room at the rear which did involve some noise from the runway, but what do you expect when you stay at an airport Hotel. We enjoyed the view of the planes taking off and landing.

Would use this hotel again if flying into LAX.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the front if you want a quiet stay or a room at the rear if you enjoy watching the...

This is just another 3 to 3.5 star property trying to pretend its a 4.0 due to brand name. This is the issue of reduced expectations of guests.

The bed was old and warped a bit which compressed my back causing pain. Again, most hotel beds in LAX are aged at this point so this does not make them any difference than a typical LAX hotel in this respect.

Understaffing at check-in can be frustrating and so can delays waiting to check-out due to same. Just as in other reviews - I offer the frustration with the blind transfer of calls to where you repeat yourself and the issue with unanswered phone calls.

At the end of the day - I had a room, bed, toilet, and air con and this is all one can expect in any class rating other than 5.0 these days in this particular area.

As with LAX hotels in general -- hallway noise - loud televisions at all odd hours of the night (people on difference time zones and thin walls) - kids in the hallways - bursts of check-ins and check-outs -- etc. are part of the normal curve. If you happen to not align with a big flight-- you might have instant check-in and 10 minutes later have a long wait -- it's difficult to predict.

Still as regards LAX properties - I find it consistent with others in similar rating classes - however it is my feeling that the service levels are lower across the board in recent years in this market.

If it comes up cheap only - I might repeat -- as of now - I cannot say which LAX property I would prefer as I have issues with most all of them.
