“Great views and amazing things to do.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 23, 2013 via mobile

I've read other people's reviews concerning this wonderful place. Yes the parking may really stink depending on when you get here, but there are so many exhibits to see and by the way it's free!!! Now if you have a few bucks go to the planetarium shows. Don't be afraid to put your inner stargazer on and explore the universe.

“Grandson chose to go here over the ocean”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 22, 2013

Pros" awesome view from outside - excellent view of the Hollywood sign. Inside was amazing so much to see and many floors to cover. Worth to pay for the extra shows they have going on during the day - tickets sell fast. It was on a Saturday we went so very busy!! Love all the interesting things to see.

Cons" Very little parking for all the cars. People were parking way down the mountain - looked like almost a mile or more hike up to the Observatory and would be difficult unless you are in great physical shape! We ended up getting a space on top as someone was just leaving.

“Basic Observatory”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 22, 2013

We went to Griffith Park our first day in LA and then went into the Observatory. Please note the Observatory does not open until Noon. We did not know this and waited 30 minutes on the steps for it to open. It's a nice visit, but not something you need to do more than once.

“Nice Stop”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2013

I can see why this is a favorite of many people. The view is magnificent, unless it's a typical smoggy day. The exhibits are interesting, the cafe is acceptable (and expectedly over-priced). Parking is a bear, so expect to get there early if you want to park in the lot or cirlce like vultures until you can find a spot. There are other places to park if you fancy a hike. Overall, it's a fun place and really a must-see at least once in your life.

“great time”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 20, 2013

the only bed thing was that I got there in a rainy and foggy day which was the only space in my trip but the place is splendid with great view of the city from high up and a lot of space and planets information, worth a visit but read the whether news first
