I went to L.A to visit my Dad and we went to Griffith Observatory because I really wanted to go there and it was really amazing... the views of L.A and also the museum and chatting conference about the origin of the universe, it was great. The price is around $20 for the chat in the theatre like you saw it in "Rebel without a cause".

Just caught the sunset att the obsveratory. Had no expectations before going there but was very happily surprised. Really enjoyed myself at this peaceful place with both interesting facts inside and (what i enjoyed most) beautiful views of pretty much everything. The greenery around LA, the Hollywood sign, Downtown, Hollywood and all of LAs lights. Beautiful.

Super nice view of LA. You can take a picture with the Hollywood sign in the background. It is super nice in the inside. The best part are the planetarium shows. Incredibly well narrated. Parking is tough so go when it first opens. Went during the day time. I imagine that on a clear night it'd be great to see the stars.

We visited shortly after the grand reopening with the fantastic underground addition. Can easily spend all day, but with kids it is important to go at their own pace. The shows are really well presented.

Visited in October 2012...there is enough to see to occupy about 2 hours of time. The feature films seemed interesting (but are an additional fee). May be boring for children under 10 years of age....lots to read at the exhibits. The views of downtown Los Angeles and the hills and mountains are breathtaking....a 360 degree opportunity of unobstructed views of so much scenery.
