This is a small boutique hotel nestled in the hills of Bel Air which is part of L.A. CA.
The hotel is a retreat for the wealthy but if you want to splurge this is the place to do it. You can go for one or two nights and never leave the property as they have elegant dinning and also a place for casual fare. The best time to go is Summer so that you can relax by the pool. The property does do a lot of weddings so you may want to make your reservation for mid week to avoid the possibility of extra crowds especially around the pool as it is on the small side.

Room Tip: To avoid running into a lot of crowds ask for your room to be away from the swan lake area.

Dear samroz,

Thank you for sharing your recent experience at Hotel Bel-Air. Summer is our busiest season but thankfully in Los Angeles we have pool weather almost year around! We recently added more lounge chairs to make sure we have plenty of space for our hotel guests.

We look forward to your return.

Warm Regards,

coming through the tree-lined drive, one truly feels he has escaped the hustle of los angeles (and LAX!!!)--- time to relax and breathe and be quietly welcomed by the doorman and bell staff, who whisked away our bags and allowed us to settle in for a much needed lunch. (the hotel had allowed us early check in.) The shower was the best I've seen, coming down like rain from 4 separate heads in the shower ceiling---so luxurious. Restaurant was good, altho service a bit slow on Sunday, even tho it wasn't very busy.

Dear marynash,

Hotel Bel-Air is truly an enclave of tranquility, so close yet so far from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. It's intimacy and natural setting lend itself to escaping from it all.

I am happy to hear how much you enjoyed your time with us and hope you will be back to visit us again.

No... Not the hotel... Me! Here us my picture at the pool. This is the best hotel anywhere.
Besides the great staff that always have a cookie in their pockets, the grounds are beautiful. This is my 5 th stay here and my follow up review
Mom says the food is superb. Wolfgang Puck is always around to assure the quality and freshness. Mom said the Bolognaise says the Bolognaise sauce was the best she has had; rich, deep, complex. Truly a jewel. The rustic grilled cheese was so good, Dad ordered it twice

Having stayed a total of 16 Nights, Bel Air hotel felt like my home away from home. I loved the fact that its tucked into the exclusive Bel Air area away from the busy and bustling streets of LA giving me the much needed peace and quite after an active day out.

My room was situated on the Northern side of the hotel which was always a nice and refreshing walk through their well kept gardens to the lobby and reception areas. The features and amenities of the room were top notch, with electronic control of most of the stuff in the room. Room service was always fun to order via the iPad they've placed in the room. The Decor was very chic with a hint of art deco with double door windows opening into the garden.

The Bel Air Hotel Staff were all very kind and helpful. The management were particularly helpful in accommodating our preferences. The concierge team were amazing and always got us the booking no matter how short notice they were.

Room Tip: If your traveling with a family then go for the room in the lower or middle canyon, as they are close to the reception and breakfast area. I'd advise calling a few hours before checking in to make your room request. FYI Sofa beds in the hotel are not comfortable for Adults at all.

Having worked in the hotel and restaurant industry for years, I'm am not easily impressed by shiny trinkets and well polished staff. Even though the bel air has those things, the level of service and attention to detail is on a world class level.
The food is excellent and as a chef these compliments dosent sit loosely.
Breakfast is unmissable, and the barfood is fantastic.
Did not try the Wolfgang puck restaurant, but having eaten at his restaurant several times I am quite sure the food is as good.
The rooms are amazing and all the staff has a genuine smile and will look after you.

Sincerely,

Kim Sjobakk and Clodagh Conroy
