We recently went on a tour with this firm. A 3/4 day full tour with stars homes. There were 4 of us, two UK, and 2 (young) German couple. The driver Matt, was offensive to the young couple from the start, discussing their relationship (best way I can word it!)..he talked non stop about his wife's operations, his music, played his music, very loud.. his poems, showed us very, very little on the agreed itinery, and kept leaving us to make phone calls..then he said we'd go to the farmer's market at tea time (not at lunch as arranged) so drew up in a grotty petrol staion for us to get a sandwich and drink instead. He then /leftlost us at an unorthorised stop, and we had to ask staff there to locate him, they couldn't as he had gone off site, so we had to ring his office to find him, all this in 100 degree heat. By then we had all had enough, so rang the office, and asked him/them to take us back for a full refund. All the way back he shouted abuse at us! He said he was going to be on his 4th suspension, that would be our fault!! The office, however were wonderful, gave us our full money back and were very kind and understanding. The driver was horrendous, and a nightmare, and took us for fools..

“Great tour- like others, it was a shame about the driver!”
Reviewed August 27, 2009

I recently went on one of the VIP tours while in LA (tour 2m) and found the content of the tour great value for money. We went to venice beach, Bel Air, beverly Hills, hollywood and the farmers market. I must say, the farmers market is SO GREAT that it needs a whole days worh of dedication, there is so much to do and we only had an hour there! I would however echo the views already stated by other posters in that the driver was just UNBEARABLE. not only did he crack inappropriate jokes all day but he had no concept of cultural awareness. Being the only native english speakers on the bus was a real drag for myself and my friend as we were constantly sought out by him for laughs at jokes that weren't even funny!
There is a big blue sign on the bus which reads: " A 15% tip is appreciated for a job well done". You are forced to look at this sign for 5 hours, so in my opinion, you do not need this spelt out to you by the driver. He talked about tipping for about 5 minutes. The vast majority of tourists in the States are WELL AWARE that tipping is the norm so the drivers little speech made us want to tip him even less. he even complained that a $20 bill he received was torn. ermmmmmm..... JUST BE GRATEFUL MR!!
Another low point was the drivers taste in music. When he wasn't telling inappropraite jokes about the War or cancer, he was playing Olivia Newton John tracks, Michael Buble's greastes hits or his OWN MUSIC which he and his wife produce and write themselves. Apparently his music is available from iTunes very soon and there is a video to be released too. Needless to say i have emailed the company to complain!
Must stress, content of the tour was great, but next time I'll hire a car!!

“good value for money..........depending on which tour you choose!!”
Reviewed July 5, 2009

Me and my friend used VIP tours as it was the only way for us to travel and see the city due to lack of own transport. They pick you up and drop you off direct at the hotels. The tours are all different. The ones going to Disney and Universal are basically just picking you up and dropping you off and include transport and admission fees, and on these tours there is different pick up times. Not all drivers point out the gratuity sign on all buses, and no-one was rude when they were'nt tipped but i did have a problem with lack of seatbelts becasue of the driving of the lady on the way back from Disney. She was too busy changing CD's and playing French music loudly (at 10pm when people were dozing off on a dark freeway) than keeping her hands on the wheel. Our main tour, The Grand Tour of LA was informative and enjoyable but would be better off spending less time at the likes of Venice beach and the opera house and more time at Hollywood Boulevard. The movie stars tour was the only disappointing tour, as the driver gave us some pointless 'info' (such as the corner of a park where Joan Crawford and Marilyn Monroe argued over a man!!) and wrong info (the house where Kate Hudson lives who is married to Lance Armstrong!!).With gratuity, its all down to each individual , if you dont want to give, dont give, if you want to, a couple of dollars is sufficient depending on the tour. Overall, these tours are good value for money if you cant get around LA yourself, and I would recommend these, depending on what tour is desired.

“Surprised Ending”
Reviewed July 8, 2008

First day on vacation decided to take a tour of Los Angeles and Hollywood a 5 and ½ hour tour. We chose this company because they came to our hotel to pick us up. Our tour takes place on a mini bus with huge windows so the view is very good. The driver was the narrator for the tour, he starts off by reading a sign posted next to him on the mini bus, which states; that at the end of the tour a gratuity would be appreciated. Many of us found the trip to be a bit bumpy and hard to hear/understand the drive, who had an accent and talked very fast. At one of our stops I asked him if he would talk slower and he agreed to do so, but did not follow through. At the end of our tour I did not feel he deserved a tip and when we did not tip him, he was rued and insulting. We were going to use them for another tour the week we were there on vacation and cancelled it.
