This is a beautiful hotel! Right in the center of everything you need to have a good time in LA! The rooms are very spacious and inviting. I will definitely go back and stay here! The staff was nice and very personable.

This was my first stay here and I have to say it was wonderful. Everyone I dealt with at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The valet parking was top notch and my vehicle was always ready to go by the time I made my phone call and got down to the parking garage. Mike at the concierge desk was very helpful and friendly and assisted me happily. I stayed in 1905 and had a wonderful view of the city skyline. The shower was AMAZING and the bed was extremely comfortable. There are some restaurants within walking distance and inside the hotel. I didn't eat at any, I traveled out of the downtown area for that. I would highly recommend the hotel, it did feel a bit too "LA" at times--but that is too be expected. The fitness center was great and I did not want for anything there. The facililty was great. I did not use the salt water pool, but was told it is fantastic. Overall, I would highly recommend the hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Room Tip: I am not sure what side 1905 was on but it has a great view of the city through the very large windo...

I've stayed at this hotel three times now for conferences, and it's very nice. The staff is hugely helpful and accommodating. Still, there's something about the place that has you wishing it just didn't try so hard. Of course, the same could be said about the entire LA Live complex, or even LA in general.

That said, the service is all to a high standard. But be prepared to pay for Internet (which seems like a real remnant of the past).

Ultimately you will have to decide for yourself about the isolation of LA Live from the rest of the world. It's not the easiest place to get to or away from. But there are plenty of fine (if pricey) restaurants and things to do within the complex. Enjoy if you can!

I stayed here for a business meeting and was pleasantly surprised at how many nearby restaurants and coveniencies there were, as in most of my previous experience LA is not very walkable. Hotel itself was very nice, attractive and spacious lobby, loved the illy expresso cafe, good-sized rooms, and a great fitness center. It was larger and had more machines than most hotel options. Plus, guests can also use the adjoining Ritz-Carlton spa for an extra indulgence.

I stayed here on business, and the hotel is impressive! Gorgeous lobby, comfortable rooms, excellent bar/lounge. The only complaints I had is the WIFI is spotty (mostly only available in the lobby) and it's so big and spread out. Great location if you want to stay around the LA Live and Downtown area, however its far from Beverly Hills, Hollywood, etc. A cab ride there will cost upwards of $60.

A big hotel with everything and convenient to the Staples and Convention center 100 yards away. Kind of expensive - as you can't get out of here for less than $300/day once you add in taxes. I never did see Kobe strutting through the lobby, but kind of a place to show off. This is not a spot for somebody wanting to save on their expense report! A beer for $10. Coffee was priced normally - I think because of the Starbucks next door! Issues with the hotel were a TV that I had to reboot and would take 15 seconds just to start up at near full volume and another 15 seconds to get off the main page. The pool was closed one day too. If you park across the street, you can cut your parking cost in half $22 versus $40 for the valet only Marriott lot. Also, the Ritz is connected, so you should compare the Ritz which shares the same building. They gotta be close on price. My discounted rate was 229, but with taxes, it was touching 300 per night. Maybe i'm cheap.

Room Tip: Turn the AC off. The room wasn't any hotter or colder and I didn't get the AC cycling on an...

Definitely stay here if you need to be at the staples center or Nokia theater. Seriously, a two minute walk outside. The hotel is gorgeous inside. Very friendly staff that will help out at any time. My husband and I stayed here to see our favorite NHL team, the Oilers, play at the Honda center in Anaheim, and then at the Staples center the next night. We ended up seeing the whole team at the hotel since that's where most of the out of town teams stay. It was awesome!!! There are a tons of food/drinks selection just outside the hotel. We stayed in a King Executive room that had a big view of the Staples center. The rooms are very spacious and the bathrooms are very nice and HUGE. You could probable fit 4 people in your show(not sure if you would want to try that). Overall, we would definitely stay here again. The price of the hotel is great too.
