“Closed for winter break??”

Great to see the studio from the outside, but we'd have like to be able to tour during the week between Xmas and New Year's. We had a great time at WB and Universal and since it's downtime for the TV shows and such, we got to see more than usual. Paramount doesn't give tours at all during this time.

This two hour tour is well worth it. It was great to see how the movies are made. The back lots are really great. The tours are nice small groups, driven around in golf cart. Our tour guide Melissa was great. You dont have to be a movie buff to enjoy this tour.

“Paramount Studios Tour, Los Angeles, California”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 18, 2012

My husband and I took a tour of the Paramount Studios in Los Angeles in December 2012. What a great adventure for the movie lovers! The tour lasts for about 2 hours, and groups are small - 6-7 people each. A real opportunity to see the lots, and sound stages, and the famous original cast iron gates with the studios logo, immortalized in the "Sunset Boulevard" film. Make sure, you book this tour on line in advance, Early morning tours are usually first to be sold out.

“Paramount Movie Studio in Hollywood”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 1, 2012

This is a 2 hr walk thru the back lot of one of the oldest studios in Hollywood. RKO Pictures and Desilu Productions called this lot home. Lucille Ball was a strong figure on the grounds, active in not only her shows but the development of new shows one in particular was Star Trek. She backed the second pilot that featured Wm Shatner and began the dynasty. Tour was 6-8 people and a guide. She did a great job linked days gone by with the present. We saw active sets, the street backrounds used for numerous shows and yes a star sighting, Chris O'Donnell from NCIS LA which films on the lot. Their original gate provided the namefor a little known immigrant actor when he looked for work as an extra. The gate is called the Bronson gate. I'm sure you can figure out the actor. This rivals the Warner Bros tour in Burbank. Both are worth the time and $$.
