These 2 museums are very close to each other. You can walk from one to the other.
They have wonderful on going exhibits and special exhibits. There are a lot of hands on opportunities for the children. We like to go there by light rail. The expo line leaves you off right in front of the museum. We live on the westside. You can pick up the train at Venice and Robertson. There is plenty of parking for your car. It is about a 20 minute train ride.

So many interactive ways for kids and adults to engage and learn about Science. The film about driving the Endeavor is touching and brought tears to people's eyes. The kids have do many fun games to play, I'm not sure they know they're learning! Well worth the small entrance fee. Try to carpool because parking is expensive. We joined so family pass comes w/ free parking. But remember, u need a desperate ticket-in addition to admittance- to see the Endeavor. Oh, and bring your lunch. Cafe was a zoo.

Seeing the space shuttle is cool, but the temporary exhibit lacks effort. The other exhibits are tired and not much fun.

This has been one of my favorite places to take my kids over the years. More and more hands-on activities make for a fascinating few hours. Be sure to check out the variety of habitats from different parts of the world and the driving simulator. Engaging IMAX movies on nature and space are worth the price. Members get a discount on the films and 2 parking coupons. Bring your own lunch to eat in the rose garden or at picnic tables along its exterior. Close proximity to the Natural History Museum could keep you on site for many hours.

The California Science Center has become, over the years, an ever expanding platform of exhibits and information about the world we inhabit. Now that the Center has eastablished itself as the new home of spacecraft "Endeavor", a visit is more than worthwhile.
