Worth a visit. Missed out on seeing the space shuttle as they issue a limited number of tokens per day.
Still had a great day.

“Excellent displays”

We went for the Cleopatra exhibit which was excellent but ended up staying to see the rest of the Science center. The new additions are great. This is a wonderful place to take your family.

“Space Shuttle Endeavour”
Reviewed November 26, 2012

We went to see Space Shuttle Endeavour on Nov. 23, 2012. I got the tickets on line. Highly reccomended. It was so interesting watching how they eat, work and go to restroom in space. Watching the movie of it's take off is awesome. They also lots of Educational Exhibits at the California Science Center. It was huge. Alot bigger than I thought.

Very Educational Exhibits. We had a very Educational Time.

“Endeavor is a must see!!!!!”
Reviewed November 25, 2012

It took my breath away.
The exhibit is still exciting even though it is temporary. Walking into the building where it is on display left me speechless.
We tried to get tickets online same day but it said there were no more free tickets left. Rather than purchasing Imax tickets, which included the Endeavor, we went down to the museum. The line moved quickly and we were able to get Endeavor only tickets for the same $2 service charge we'd have paid online. A BARGAIN!!!!
As a teacher the rest of the center was amazing with loads of hands on exhibits and well thematic organization to choose what suits individual interests. I'd fly back to the west coast from DC just to see this again.

“Here for Endeavour of course, but an LA institution, must visit for kids”
Reviewed November 25, 2012

Definitely, this is the place now because of the space shuttle, in its temporary home once the Center raises the funds to build an extravagant exhibit. My dad booked the online tickets for $2, and got it on the day after Turkey Day. As I used to attend summer classes here during the 80s, coming back here in such a long while was surprising, as the whole place has changed. However, it still has a McDonald's, and a few other eateries too including Taco Bell. Definitely a good place to bring the kids given that you don't have to pay to get it, just donate (worth it for $5), though all the other activities are paid now.
