This venue does not compare to Universal Orlando: much smaller, not many rides or things to do. We upgraded to the express pass to avoid the lines, which was great, but there weren't that many rides to go on. The water show was excellent. The house of horrors was a bit lame. The back stage tour was interesting, but would be much better if they let people off to take photos. We took the Warner Brothers VIP Studio Tour the previous day and that was AWESOME!!!!! A million times better than the Universal tour. Citywalk offers alot of places to eat and it's cool to look at.

We were fortunate enough to arrive early on a weekday and had no lines for the rides on the bottom section. Overall, there were hardly any lines, so I highly recommend a week day if at all possible. We had been last year but it's great for a once a year visit. The studio tour is always a highlight, so very well done and informative. It's a great place for teens.

Family of 5 adults (17 - 50ish) all agree a great full day out at Universal Studios Hollywood. Worth buying Front of Line passes - got a better price on line through Premium Outlets website for Universal tickets than when buying direct! Crazy but saved $30 per ticket! The ques are way too long to stand in if you only have a day to visit - so once again - buy the Front of Line Pass!!!!!
Only ride that was a bit less than great was the Revenge of the Mummy - just too short for what it could have been! Transformers / Simpsons and Shrek 4D especially good, Jurassic Park good fun (but you can get a little wet), and the King Kong 3D is wow factor! All other attractions very good - the Water World (where you can certainly get a lot wet if near the front) show should best be seen at night for SFX. We didn't get to studio backlot tour till near sunset, so if you want to video all the great stuff go earlier - it just got too dark to record.
City Walk again is best at end of day - Neon by the bucket full and better food than inside the ride areas.

Who has not watched a Hollywood movie? The studio backstage tour brings reality to the make believe world we have all enjoyed. Characters dressed up in the streets add to the magic. Rides fill up the rest of the time.

We love it . We went there many time. Still we did not finish all the rides. Food is very expensive inside. It better to buy yearly ticket because it is cheaper.
