“Pretty neat place to visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2014

I was actually there for the Jimmy Kimmel show across the street but I thought I would take a short tour of the Theater to do the tourist thing. The architecture was pretty amazing with all the details and use of space. It was pretty much what I expected from pictures and TV though it was interesting to see the footprints/handprints and signatures of celebs.

“Beautiful Theater!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 12, 2014

We took a tour of the theater at 10:30 am on Sunday of the BCS National Championship game. We had a tour with just the two of us and were glad that we arrived early because the later in the day it became the larger the crowds of people grew.
We had a very knowledgable tour guide who answerd all of our questions. We were not rushed and there were not any other tours immediately before or after ours so no spill over. We purchased our tour tickets from the kiosk outside.
The theater is probably the most beautiful one I have ever seen. I would have liked to go back in the evening to see the Imax movie in the very comfortable seats and the gigantic screen - but we did not have time.

“Chinese Theatre, Hollywood CA”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2014

This is a world famous landmark and is visited by hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people each year. The theatre is a landmark of Hollywood History. Opened in 1922, it has hosted numerous movie premiers, including the premier in 1977 of the original Star Wars movie. Footprints and signatures immortalized in cement include Marilyn Monroe, Clint Eastwood (see photo), John Wayne, Elizabeth Taylor, Sylvester Stallone (see photo), Jack Nicholson, Jean Harlow and many many more. It has been featured in numerous movies and television shows including an episode of I Love Lucy, in which Lucy and Ethel stole John Wayne's slab and broke it. John Wayne then appeared in the show to create a new set of footprints and hand prints for the theater. It's a great piece of Hollywood history that spans decades of well known entertainers. Give yourself some time as the courtyard can be very crowded. Still, to me anyway, it's worth the time and effort.

“Just saw the hands”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2014

It was cool to see who's hands were there and make the comparisons. Didn't go inside but it looked really cool on the outside. Jimmy Kimmel show is right across the street.

“Interesting but crowded”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2014

As with anything on our trip, we arrived early to see the theatre and Walk of Fame. We were certainly glad we got there early because by noon, it was crazy! We got a little tired of saying no to people trying to sell us stuff We aren't very taken by "celebrities" so we didn't hang around long...just long enough to say we have been there and seen a few of the stars and the theatre.
