Neat to see the old hand prints and foot prints of folks like Bing Crosby and Julie Andrews, but you'll have to endure 1) a mess of other tourists and 2) the heckling of street vendors and tour guides.

It's like we heard before we left: it's a dirty, tourist filled trap!
We did see some interesting things like the Hollywood Museum,a good wax museum & the walk of stars but the place was very crowded & was it ever humid!

Went to see Tarantinos new film
Two tickets for $27
Theatre seats were comfortable
Film was a little loud
With validation of parking ticket , only two dollars to park underneath for four hours
Plenty of time to look around, see the star encrusted footpath, etc

Worth visiting for the imprints and messages left by current and former celebrities. Its free to get in which is a plus, and theres plenty to see.

Nice piece of history to visit. Best time to see this is early morning (~8:00 am) before the vendors get there. Later in the morning and afternoon you have to put up with all the people hawking stuff, and you have to deal with the photo Op station to get access to the sidewalk prints. Worth seeing once. Too bad the riff-raff have to spoil it.
