“Local's spot!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 27, 2012

Great place to eat!!! Wide variety on the menu and lots of pancake choices! Lots of seating, so the wait was minimal. We stumbled in by searching the internet, but it was obvously popular with the locals.

“Tired Old Place Food Eh Okay”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2012

Decided to take the kids to Original Pancake House in Los Altos. We've got to say, we won’t be going back soon. Upon arrival we were greeted by the hostess (I mean NOT greeted) probably the owner manager, she was more engrossed in her catalogs or other mail then the customer. Never spoke never said welcome. The 3 of us had to wait 30 min for a table when there were tables open. The waitress on the other hand was warm and looked after us once we sat down. So that was a plus. The food pancakes came over cooked, I had a spinach omelet and it was burnt. Toast was cold. Not noteworthy in terms of food.
I was completely blown away by the cost of the beverages. I guess I should have looked at the price before I bought, but I was charged $5.70 for a small glass of OJ. I expected that in Hawaii or some place, but not NorCal Suburbs where you can get the same bottled OJ at the local store doe $5.00 a gallon. Well those who know this is Los Altos so maybe that was the reason?
All in all I'd venture someplace else for a friendlier experience and better food and atmosphere. If you have a chance to go, don’t unless you have no other choice. At least not the Los Altos OPH

“Outstanding value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2012

Both the quality and quanity are good. The portions are fantastic along with good service. The apple pancake can easily feed two, or you can take home the leftovers. My daughter thinks the apple pancake is the best she has ever eaten. I had the sour dough pancakes which was a first for me. and i thoroughly enjoyed them. The syrup has some real maple in it, and is not just the typical store bought kind. We were extremely satisfied, and full!

“Expected a little more”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2012

Read about the restaurant on trip advisor and decided to try it for a casual business lunch. It was convenient to our office and had parking in front. Waited at the host stand for nearly five minutes before a server seated us. He was very nice and attentive. The omlette was large and tasty. The chicken sandwich was good. The strawberry waffle was disappointing. It was flatter than a pancake and had no taste. The (strawberry syrup?) was watery and filled with seeds. We were surprised not to find a hamburger or french fries on the menu. The location was good and a little touch up would make it a great spot, but the menu needs work. Agree with other reviewer that it was kind of like a Denny's, just not quite as good.

“We were the only ones in this tired old restaurant on a Saturday morning”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2012 via mobile

Tired old restaurant with standard breakfast fare menu. Kind of like a run down Denny's. Food was fair. Atmosphere was poor.
