“spacious rooms with plenty of below ground parking”

Stayed here overnight to attend a sports tournament;read all of the other positive reviews and found it all to be true! The hotel is currently doing some sort of remodeling on the outside, but the inside is a first class act.
We arrived late at night, and were lucky to find a Whole Foods market just down the street. The ice maker made plenty of ice, which doesn't always happen in a hotel that is full of sporting families.
The refrig in the room is inside a cabinet, which was handy.would definitely stay there again!

Room Tip: We stayed in an ADA accessible room on the first floor because that was all that was available and i...

I stayed here recently for 3 nights on a business trip. The room was rather expensive but the rate included free WIFI, no breakfast. The breakfast was very good value for money, under $10 for continental from 6.30 am which was perfect. I did not visit the fitness area, but I loved the central courtyard, where there was an enticing outdoor pool and where you could sit outside in a nice, quiet atmosphere with candle/flames that warmed you in tihe early evening. The reception and the bar area are all in one which means the bar area is not very cosy, too open to have a relaxing drink with no atmosphere. There is no restaurant in the evening, they just sell snacks but it is not far to the old town area of Palo Alto where there are restaurants. There is underground parking. Everything was in a very good condition and clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. I'll be staying here again on my next trip to Palo Alto in a few weeks.

Definitely the nicest Courtyard I have ever stayed at! The lobby is very inviting with free coffee, tea, fruit-infused water, lemonade, and sweets most of the day. The front-desk staff is really nice, always happy to acommodate any requests. The rooms have very comfortable beds and are the cleanest rooms I have ever encountered at a Cortyard. I usually have difficult time falling asleep at hotels, but did not have any trouble during this stay. Just felt almost like home. There is also a reasonable speed free internet in the room. In addition, the location is hard to beat with very easy access to Palo Alto and Stanford.
Overall: A fantastic hotel for business, family, couples etc!

I stayed here for business in August 2012 for a few nights. The Courtyard is pretty standard Marriott fair and this one actually is a little better than most. The room was large with comfortable beds and the usual amenities (desk, tv etc). Their free internet was reasonably fast and worked well in my room and the common areas.

They even have a small bar that serves drinks and some snacks at night. Breakfast buffet was very good although at $12 for buffet and coffee, somewhat at the higher end. Mind you, the quality was much better than the "free" breakfasts I've had so it was worth it (company was paying anyway :) )

Secure parking beneath the hotel is nice - generally the barrier is down and the gates shut (room key needed to get in). So safer than the average underground hotel parking.

Room Tip: Even the rooms on the ground floor by the conference rooms (111-113 I believe) were quiet and you co...

In some respects, reviews of a Courtyard by Marriott property can be kind of pointless--if you've ever stayed at one, you pretty much know what you're going to get at the next one, because they're all fairly similar. As a rule, you can expect comfortable but not luxurious surroundings, clean rooms, and convenient access, but nothing particularly memorable.

This one, however, is nicer than others I've visited. The rooms are as clean and spacious as you would expect of one of these places, but the property is nicer and more attractive than the typical Courtyard, especially in the common areas. The lobby area is attractive, and offers free coffee, tea, and ice water 24/7, along with some small edible treats (fruit, nuts, baked items) most of the day. The patio and pool area are very nice--more like what you would see in a resort rather than a Courtyard property. There are several conversation/relaxation areas with outdoor sofas and chairs surround nice gas firepits, which are nice on the typical cool Silicon Valley evening. There's a nice sized swimming pool and two small spa/jacuzzi pools (on which the chlorine level was way too high--my wife and I used one, and when we got out our swimwear had been bleached several shades lighter than when we went in--probably not good for one's skin, either!).

The location is convenient, on El Camino Real, literally right on the border between Los Altos and Palo Alto (the hotel is actually in Los Altos, but if you step a foot or two off the property in one direction you're in Palo Alto). There are numerous and diverse dining options within easy walking distance, and if you prefer to buy food at a store there are many within less than a mile of the place on El Camino Real (including Trader Joe's and Whole Foods).

There is ample parking in an underground garage, accessible from the lobby by an elevator.

All in all, this is a good option and a good place for either business or leisure travelers in the area.

Great location for business travelers if you need to commute to Palo Alto, Mountain View or even Cupertino. The hotel is also conveniently located near restaurants within 5 minute drive and a Whole Foods is 1 minute away. Also has a little bar near the lobby.

Stay at a lot of Courtyards, and this is one of the nicer properties.
Rooms have a great layout, with comfortable beds and good place to work.
Nice bar area downstairs, with amiable bartenders.
THE GOOD: Courtyard still has the original design (no new lobby), so no overpriced food.
Pool area is great, with two hot tubs. Nice laundry area. Good, well equipped gym.
THE BAD: Poor wireless internet access in the rooms; nonexistent most of the time.TV channels are limited. Room rate pricey for area.
