We went there for our favorite sushi made fresh for each order. I actually love their ahi tuna plate that is a complete meal. We've eaten here with groupons and without, by ourselves and with groups. On of our favorites in Los Altos!

Mikado has very good sushi and nice ambience. There's rarely any wait time either, so we drop in frequently.

Friendly wait staff and prompt service. All of the sushi and sashimi is very good as are the other items on the menu. Great place to take friends and family.

This was a pleasant surprise! Located in the charming downtown of Los Altos (161 Main St.), Mikado offers an extensive menu that should appeal to every taste. We went here for lunch...I recommend the Calamari Tempura and the Hibatchi N.Y. Steak - absolutely wonderful!

The atmosphere is pleasant...dining inside or outside. Great service...reasonable prices, as well.

A quick day trip for business and where to have lunch? Well, Japanese seemed reasonable and Mikado presented itself to us around lunchtime. Why not? In appearance it is very nice with lots of light wood and cultural accents. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was beautifully presented, but the plastic models often seen in the windows of Japanese restaurants would have had more flavor. I mean, how can Bulgogi be truly flavorless? Only in an alternate universe. The chicken tangatsu was deep fried cotton. The most flavorful thing served was the rice. The flavor extractor was set on "11". Sorry, but cannot recommend what appears to be a earnest effort that comes up way short.
