“The perfect atmosphere”

We loved every moment of our brunch at high hand. The gardens and flowers alone were magnificent. Once we were seated our meal and service were incredible. Loved the fresh feel and the ambiance. We are definitely fans!

“Great Road Chow”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2014

I cannot decide which is more impressive at this fine dining establishment - the food or ambience. I recently made Sunday brunch reservations for my family party of fifteen at High Hand Conservatory & Cafe in Loomis, California - a sleepy upscale town, about 30 minutes east of Sacramento. Nearby, majestic 8,000+ square foot, million dollar homes are nestled together on country estates in the rolling hills and gated communities. This completely belies the very reasonable prices at this newly discovered gem. The fare was fantastic - fresh locally sourced produce, perfectly prepared dishes (the crab benedict and huevos rancheros are my favorites); all nicely plated... at a cafe? The service is efficient, attentive and friendly - always served with a smile. The ambience of the dining room, a large nicely appointed glass conservatory, was quite beautiful - a local musician, strumming away on his guitar. The real treat however, is the adjacent nursery, boutique shops and landscaped grounds; perfect for a post-meal stroll, or to daydream in serene surroundings... watching the children feed the small koi in their aquatic habitat.

“Like dining outside”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2014

A delightful lunch made with yummy, healthy ingredients enjoyed on a sunny January afternoon. I felt like I was dining outside, a welcome reprieve from the cold, dreary weather I had left behind at home.
