The hotel is very convenient to Long Beach airport, but once at the hotel, there is absolutely nothing nearby to walk to. No convenience store, no restaurants, just a few offices nearby. So if you don't have a car, you're pretty much stuck at the hotel. They give no free bottled water, they don't offer bottled water for sale in the vending machines. Only very expensive Boss water or Fiji water, starting at about $6 for a small bottle.
I was there on a Saturday night, and there is a bar in the hotel, that had an outdoor seating area, that played very very loud music til late, which could be heard in many of the hotel's rooms on that side.
The room is quite dated, and in need of refurbishment. I didn't feel it was really like a Marriott. There is no minibar or refrigerator in the room either. There was a nice pool area I saw but didn't use. I didn't use the restaurant, only had room service, which was good and reasonably priced for a hotel. Very friendly service throughout. There was a free airport shuttle to the nearby Long Beach airport. I just felt very isolated not having anything else nearby to walk to.More
