The Queen Mary is an old cruise liner and has been restored in keeping with the time period. This is not a modern hotel but is in keeping with the original features. You will have to pay to park at the ship. The rooms are comfortable and clean but the features in the bathroom are basic. The air con is centrally controlled in Deluxe rooms so you will find that if it is too loud, cold or warm you will not be able to control it from the room. The walls in the rooms are extremely thin so you will be able to hear the guests next door, as they will you, so be warned in advance!!!You will be charged for wi-fi, bottled water and to do a self guided tour of the ship. This charge is per day. The ship is a really lovely step back in time.
