We stayed here as part of a trafalgar tour group. The hotel was lovely and the staff were polite and helpful, they sorted out a room mix up within minutes . The wifi was not free across the whole hotel, it was free in the lobby but it was $9.95 for 24 hours in the room.
The hotel did not have a laundry service.
Our room was spacious and had a range of amenities, altho the tea and coffee making facilities were a bit sparse, 1 tea bag, 2 milks and 2 each of coffees. The room had a veranda with 4 sun beds on it and a table. Our view over looked the shipping harbour. The only problem that we had with the room was the noise in it, it sounded like a generator going , we turned off the air con etc, but the noise was still there if we had been there for more than 1 night im sure the staff would have helped us sort it out. The buffet breakfast was nice a range of coooked and cold items, fresh fruit and pastries, with choices of teas, coffees, apple and orange juices as well as various half pints of milk.
The hotel is a bit of a walk ( 3 long blocks about 15-25 minutes) to pike street and the various resturants and shopping,

one of the worst hotels ive stayed in!

- found a pubic hair in the bathroom
- no hot water for ages
- when i called room service at 2am and asked for a burger but without the meat as im vegetarian they said "well the chef makes it all before he knocks off for the night so we could pull the pattie out and heat up the burger for you if you like". um pass!
- wifi cannot hold a signal at all when connecting via ipad or iphone (although does do okay with laptop).

Room Tip: not facing over the pool side as this also borders with the street where disgruntled former employee...

This hotel looks luxuriously grand. The pool could have been deeper - it was only 3 feet and heated all around. Other than that, service is superb. Nowhere in the hotel did I feel insecure - even going down to the parking basement which is very well lighted. Thank you for making our family grand reunion a memorable one.

Decided to stay overnight because of a dance event we were attending there. We were upgraded unexpectedly to a really spacious suite. Personnel were really friendly and helpful. Great location for seeing sites in downtown Long Beach.

Great stay, very comfortable. Only concern was the printer was not working in the business center, where guests could use. Enjoyed the convenience and location, within walking distances to port/shops/restaurants etc.

This large yet friendly hotel is located right downtown Long Beach which makes access to other sights, restaurants and the waterfront very accessible. The staff get top marks for courtesy and attentiveness. The early check in was greatly appreciated and the pool was uncrowded and very pleasant. Two concerns: the restaurant does not have a lot of selection for a hotel of this calibre; if you want a selection of 'build your own' hamburgers it's fine but not being a hamburger- lover I almost considered eating elsewhere. The food, however was excellent and well presented. The second issue was our room next to the Presidential Suite which unfortunately was equipped with adjoining doors. The party next door went to 4:00am and the adjoining doors did little to dampen the sound.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms with adjoining doors - you hear everything!

We stayed here on a Trafalgar tour, so the hotel and location were selected for us. We arrived early and the hotel kindly let us check in straight away which was much appreciated. Our room was a generous size and furnishings were new and in good repair, liked the green fabric bedheads. Room was very clean and our views were great. Breakfast was great, big selection. The location was ok, very safe to walk around day and night. A little far away from the action at The Pike (about 15-20 mins walk). The fountains in the driveway and foyer weren't working either, which didn't affect our stay, but would have been nice if they were on.
