“Very nice rooms, great location”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Location is great, rooms are very nice, staff very nice. Had the buffet breakfast, well priced. Might as well use valet parking as it is only $3 more than self-parking. You can walk to anything you might need.

Room Tip: Stayed for a Friday/Saturday -- $79 per night via priceline. Given a low floor, probably because o...

Love the new decor- rooms are very attractive and feel roomier. Hate the $18 breakfast buffet, but grab a snack at the coffee bar in the lobby. Really like the walk in shower, but they have elevated design over function. You cannot turn on the shower without getting in. There is no way to stop up the trendy sink, meaning you must waste water by running it while shaving (for men) or washing out undies, which I assume only women do. Even odder, there are NO towel bars. They want us to reuse the towel, but where do we hang them? On the environmental awareness scale, this bathroom fails; which I find shocking in the 21st century in CA.

Room Tip: If you care, ask about the view.

We recently stayed here for a week's holidayand could not fault the hotel. The rooms are all very well appointed and comfortable. Service was excellent and the staff were really friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant in the hotel (great buffet breakfast) but there is a walkway to the shoreline where there are loads of different restaurants to choose from in the evening. Small pool and jacuzzi but you don't really come here to sit by the pool all day. Within walking distance of Long Beach beach itself and Long Beach downtown. Lots of business people there on conferences but hotel caters well for both leisure and business. Being in long Beach rather than LA means it is a less busy and more laid back area, but still easy to get to all the attractions. Would definitely stay here again if in LA.

Room Tip: If possible get a room ending in 01 (eg 401, 701) as these have views in both directions along the s...

My husband and I stayed 6 nights at the Hyatt Regency in Long Beach -- some work - some play. Each morning began and each evening ended with a "make you smile" view of the Bay - with a full view of The Queen Mary, the harbor, and the shore line. Be sure to spend the few extra dollars to get a harbor view.

At the bell stand, Fletch (that's his name) is outstanding. He will find anything - conjure up drivers to go anywhere - print directions - treat you like his brother or sister. The training of the entire staff including housekeepers, front desk, and restaurant staff has clearly focused on "whatever makes our guests happy". This is a 100% solid staff that asks you what they can do before you even ask. This group is watching after you!!!

The rooms are comfortable – fluffy towels in the bathroom – quiet for sleeping. The location of the Hyatt is perfect for visiting Long Beach and Los Angeles – with Long Beach having the added advantage of a peaceful pace, attractions of its own, and great restaurants. Employees here have long tenure – a compliment to management and respect for their staff.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor with a room with a view of the bay and harbor that includes being able to see...

We spent a few nights here on our journey from Fiji to New York.
After the traveling we had had in the previous 4 weeks it was great to get time to relax.
The reception staff were wonderful, they couldn't do enough to make us feel so welcome.
The rooms were spacious, clean, & we had a terrific view over the Marina.
The meals we had there were lovely & once again the staff were great.
We were within walking distance of the main road, to the Marina or in the other direction the city centre,
There is also a free bus service outside the hotel to take you on a 10 minute ride to visit the Queen Mary.which has been moored there for a number of years now.
It is really a conference centre rather than a holiday hotel, but there was a a decent sized pool & even sun loungers.
All in all we had nothing but praise for this hotel.

I was in town for a convention. As mentioned before the location is very close and an easy walk. The rooms were well appointed, the bed was so comfortable! We stayed on the Concierge Level and I would highly recommend the additional cost-tasty snacks, drinks and never crowded!

I was pleasantly surprised and would return anytime I am in the area!

I had a room with a view of the harbor and it was really nice. The bed and lines were very comfortable and I especially liked the nightlight on the bottom of the side table that was motion centered. I also want to say Javier from room service was incredibly kind andhelpful. The gym was nice and there are nice walking areas near the hotel. If you are flying in to LAX or Orange county the ride will be expensive and don't take super shuttle - took us 2 1/.2hours from Orange Cty airport to hotel on Super Shuttle,
