“Pre cruise visit to the area”

There are six of us traveling, wanted to see the area before our cruise. We did Cantalina Island one day. Today we did a Los Angeles city tour. Was perfect !! Ate lunch at the Farmers Market. The hotel staff is friendly. Victor made our reservations for the three night stay. Sean and Dennis were awesome with our two days of sight seeing. Clean, friendly, perfect location for us.

Average in most respects. Provided breakfast is usually very crowded and the room is unbearably warm and gets more so as more people occupy the area. Was not at all pleased with the rate paid for the room received as it was not, in any respect, indicative of "business class" accommodations. Did not feel the staff really wanted to go out of their way to see if guests were satisfied.

We do regret that your experience with us did not match the high standards of customer service that we have set and can assure you that your comments will be shared with the head of our customer care department, your comments on inconsistencies that you experienced at check in regards of the room type I have reviewed your reservation was booked via a third party where there were options on standard king or business king room your reservation came to us as a standard king we apologize if a upgrade was not available at the time of your arrival to ensure you receive the room type desired please select business king at the time of booking and/or ask at the time of check-in for upgrade availability, if available the hotel will upgrade your room to give you the opportunity to have the "business class" accommodations experience.

Martin (the manager) and his staff were SO helpful - we were in town for a Thursday thru Saturday conference at the Convention Center. The staff picked us up and brought us back to the hotel after each section of the conference so we didn't have to mess with the traffic in a particularly crowded part of an unfamiliar town. They were always prompt and extremely courteous. The bed was comfy and the breakfast was yummy - more than I've gotten at other hotels I've stayed at. Every member of the staff I came into contact with was friendly, helpful, and courteous. I plan to attend this same conference next year AND to stay at the same hotel.

This hotel was awful, barely clean, motel 6 quality linens, near the city train tracks, so was woken every 20 minutes by the noise. The hotel smelled old and musty with thin walls, the staff seemed tolerant, not welcoming. Only fast food was available within walking distance and this is not a neighborhood I would walk in even in the day time much less after dark. The "breakfast" was a couple of fruit choices, waffles and coffee. We have stayed in Best Westerns for years and this was the worst we have ever experienced. Would NOT recommend!

We stayed here for one night before going on a cruise. Picked the hotel because they had a park and cruise package with shuttle to the pier. Hotel was clean, staff ws very friendly. Location was great. It was about a 10 minute shuttle ride to the pier, and just about 5 minute drive to the waterfront with a lot of great places to eat and a lovely walk. The hotel is next to a school, so it wasn't exactly quiet. Didn't see anyone out at the pool, but wasn't really relaxing with all the screaming kids next door. Best thing about this hotel was the bed. It was sooooo comfy. Would stay here again.

the service is good, the cleanliness is average, me as a businesses woman I notice the detail cleanliness is not in detail and by the parking lot is to many spiders hanging by the cars,. the lady by serving the break fast was very attentive with me she keep the area clean and stock with all the needs to give a good experience to the customers

A very good value IF you book on the web and check several sources to get a good rate. You will hear them quote double and even triple what you paid at the front desk when they talk to call-ins or walk-ins. Nice amenities. I would give them three stars. The free breakfast is
adequate but gets old after one morning here. Fridge and microwave in your room and coffee maker and great beds. Good and friendly service - the free parking is secure. Only down side it is it located in a bad part of town so do not roam around here on foot or after dark - but close to what you want to see as a visitor and tourist. Don't pay retail but if you bargain hunt online and pay one third to one half what others pay for the same accomodations you can be happy with your stay here.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the top/4th floor away from the main street.
