Sat outside on the pier, overlooking the sea and watching pelicans dive for fish. Great selection of beers brewed on site and lovely food - scallop salad with orange and strawberry for the boss, tuna wrap for me - big wrap but lovely, fresh raw tuna and salad. Lovely!

The food and drink here is always great, Menu is nicely varied and the location is great. A few things could use a little improvement, The Jambalaya is not typical. For starters its too sweet. A little tobasco helps. The salads are great, pizzas very good, steamed clams are great. As for beers they are very popular and great. (the Long Beach Crude a stout, is served a little too cold for my taste) Service is very friendly, attentive but kitchen can be a bit slow.

Had a memorable lunch here with some special friends. We sat outside overlooking the Sea as the Californian Sun belted down.I hope this doesnt put anybody off because the seating umbrella did its job perfectly. I had the Calamari followed by succulent Sea Scallops with Rice, i must say my frinds both commented on the quality of vegetarian food and you could tell everything was extremely fresh. Tried a Marathon Beer that was tasty and a wide range of good quality wines by the glass the highlight being a beautiful Cambria Chardonnay. Not cheap but you pay for what you get!

I live in Long Beach, and this is the only restaurant right on the water in town. First of all, they brew their own beer, and they have a great selection, always cold, always on draft--I particularly like their Top Sail, which is dark but not extremely dark, like the Crude. For panty-waists, they offer a blonde beer as well. The service is easy-going and professional. The staff does not hover around or try to push their specials at you annoyingly--we have been coming here for years, and never received bad service. The chef is excellent; they have a varied menu, not overly large or expensive. Be sure to sit outside on the patio and enjoy the ocean, and it's always kind of fun to walk the Long Beach pier after dinner. This the coolest restaurant in Long Beach if you like a laid-back, comfortable atmosphere, soft lighting, and a breezy style of service, couple with outstanding food, simply prepared. We have gone to several of their beer dinners also, and enjoyed a different beer with each course. They were really wonderful as well.

First of all, the location is wonderful...right near the Belmont Shore pier. We were here late afternoon until sunset and the views were quite stunning. They offer outside dining that has heaters and a fire pit for the chilly winter evenings.

Sunday was very busy..the happy hour crowd was lively. We tried the Calamari appetizer...highly recommended. The 6 brew sampler (6.00) is a good way to try a variety of their tasty beers. For dinner we had burgers..high quality and cooked to perfection. The Black and Blue is a sirloin burger w/crumbled blue cheese, grilled onions and chipotle sauce...w/your choice of fries, salad or
fruit. The Grand Prix is an angus beef burger w/grilled onions, mushrooms, bacon and cheddar cheese. The same sides are offered.

The prices are moderate and our server was wonderful. Highly recommend the BBC.
