The staff is very good, the steak is really nicely done and the wine list is studded with some real finds. I've now been 4 times (twice this month) and it has consistently performed. Are they setting the world on fire? No. Are they pushing the culinary envelope and breaking new ground? No. Are they consistently delivering very high quality, standard Italian fare and employing servers with personality who care if the diners are enjoying the experience? Yes. And for that, I will be back next time I'm in Long Beach. Bravo L'Opera and many thanks.

L'Opera used to be a regular lunch spot for me when I was working in Long Beach. It is the best restaurant on Pine St. and one of the best Italian restaurants around. It is expensive but worth it. I have never had a bad meal there in all the 12 years I have been going there.

We really enjoyed our dinner at L'Opera. The calamari had a wonderful marinara sauce. The house salad was delicious...big enough to split. My veal piccata was done perfectly with fresh mashed potatoes and vegtables. Very nice, New York like atmosphere...you don't think that you're in Long Beach. Service is good; the server could have been a little more attentive. Valet parking in front...get your ticket validated for a discount. I look forward to dining here next time we're in the area. One of the nicest places in downtown Long Beach.

Food is awesome, the environment is great. Good wine list, and great servers. Wonderful lobster ravioli. Downtown Long /Beach in an old building. Great fun, nice for a date night.

It is a very good Italian restaurant in the heart of Long Beach. It was difficult to decide what to choose from the menu. Fresh made pasta is incredible: ravioli, fettuccine, spaghetti, agnolotti, gnocchi, cannelloni, etc. The wine list was very good too. Ambiance is very pleasant. Bravo!
