Took the lady whale watching in early January and because of its high TA ratings, chose Harbor Breeze. Picked up a groupon deal to get us both on the 2 1/2 hr tour for $50, which saved a few dollars. Saw a good amount of dolphins and was lucky enough to see a whale for probably 15 minutes not far from the boat. Cruised on the 3pm tour and had an amazing sunset to our backs as we returned to port. Very basic snack bar, wish they had coffee, but they only had hot cocoa.
We also had a marine biologist from the aquarium who did most of the talking and she was very informative and knew the sea life.

First time to go on whale watching. We paid $35, and got on bigger boat named Christopher for 2 1/5 hr trip off the coast of Long Beach/ Palos Verdes. Saw big size dolphins ,fin whales and gray whale. Although we saw them from a distance, still, it was a very exciting moment for all of us who witnessed these magnificent creatures. It is also nice to know that people from Aquarium of the Pacific rode with us to give additional info and answer questions. The tour guide was very friendly and made sure we are ok. She also provided valuable info bout whales and dolphins descriptions and behavior. Definitely a relaxing and exciting trip!

Tips. : Don't forget to bring jacket. Layered clothing is a must. Bring cash for snacks.

We had a 2+ hour boat ride, where we were lucky enough to witness seals, dolphins (leaping out of the water in the waves behind the boat!), and 5 gray whales. In addition to the crew, there was a marine biologist from the aquarium, who was able to share details about all the animals we saw so it was educational as well as as enjoyable.

Beyond the ocean life, the views were also breathtaking...from the coastline to the sunset we experienced. All in all, the trip was well worth it! I would definitely recommend the 3:00 tour, as that provided the added benefit of a magnificent sunset during winter months.

Had an afternoon whale watching boat trip on the Two Harbors boat. We were at the back of a long queue to get on the boats and the majority got on the Christopher (a more modern boat) and the remainder went out on the Two Harbors boat .
We saw one gray whale and about four dolphin, not as shown on the company siting record.

It was a pleasant boat trip.
