I stayed at Hyatt for three nights and was very satisfied. Good service, cheap prices at the bar and cosy rooms. The pool on the roof was a good bonus! The breakfast was tasty and the parking garage was just across the street :) no complaints

We stayed at this hotel because of a conference. The food was very good. The staff was excellent. We had a view of the harbor area and that was very nice. We could however hear the water running from above us and hear people across the hall. The biggest inconvenience was the use of the elevator. I'm sure there is a good reason for using your key card for every floor, but it was not the easiest elevator to use. Security is always a must in hotels, especially one that is near a crowded downtown area, but the ease of use of this elevator was not good. Also, they do have a pool on the top outside deck and that was a nice feature. They do have a bar up there, but it wasn't open for us. We couldn't understand why they wouldn't have the bar open for our event on a Friday night. We were told that they wanted to charge extra money for this feature. Not when we are providing them with our business and lots of money should we have to pay more for that feature. Especially on a Friday. They said they do the weekends only. Don't know if I would stay there again. If our conference says we have to then I would be obliged to do so.

Room Tip: Of course a room with a view of the harbor are is nice.

My sister and I stopped here on our road trip as I was sick of staying at trashy motels. The decor and atmosphere were very sophisticated. I absolutely loved the rainfall shower head in the room! The beds were also super comfortable and everything was clean. A couple complaints I have our that there was a lightbulb out by the bed and the plugs by the bed did not work. Also Im not sure if there was an exhaust fan in the bathroom, but if there wasnt there should be, if there is, ours is broken. We checked in around 10:15 so I did not request to have these issues fixed. The pool was a little on the chilly side, but was clean and well maintained.

We spent a full day and night at the Pike Hyatt this week. We had been staying in Newport and really needed somewhere closer to the airport. We didn't get up to see the pool as there was a private party going on up there. The rooms were really neat! As others have said, it had a boutique hotel feel. Very nicely located near evening entertainment, family fun activities. movie theatre and walking distance to many restaurants and tourist attractions. Staff was outstanding from check in to check out. Parking was a pleasure (in lot just adjacent). Room was quiet, beds were comfy with electrical outlets built into the nightstands (finally). Great shower and nice work and sitting areas.

We were looking for a nice hotel that was convenient to the interstates and within easy driving distance of LA. This one fit the bill. It's a nice size, more like a boutique hotel than the giant monsters down the street from it. We were upgraded to a deluxe room free of charge. This hotel is within walking distance of the Queen Mary and the Aquarium of the Pacific. It's only a 20 minute drive to and from LAX (outside of rush hour), and less than an hour's drive to downtown LA and Hollywood. Even in rush hour traffic, it's only 1.5 hrs (30 miles) to LA. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The Pike has several good restaurants, and the Shoreline Village is just across the street with good food avaiable too. (We highly recommend the Yard House!) The hotel's rooftop pool has spectacular views and is worth going to even if you're not swimming in it. The weekends can be noisier, but we just left the fan on our air conditioning unit on all night for white noise, and we didn't hear a thing! The bed was pretty comfortable, and the bathroom was FABULOUS!!
