The Queen Mary is a full-service Long Beach hotel, historical landmark, and entertainment venue featuring award-winning restaurants, historical attractions, numerous special event salons and 346 staterooms. The Queen Mary gives a unique glimpse into an era when steamships were the most regal way to travel.

Be prepared to walk a lot and take a lot of stairs. The royal/Princess Diana Exhibit was very moving and enjoyable. Even my husband enjoyed looking at all of the royal history that was covered and her personal items.
The ship is not super clean and plush but it is old and there is a lot of neat history involved.
The Starbucks was a nice treat.

Overall, it is a good way to spend a couple of hours.

zeta1985 –

We are so glad that you enjoyed your visit to The Queen Mary and our Diana: Legacy of a Princess exhibit. Like you – we have been on Royal Baby watch the past week and it has certainly added to the excitement aboard the ship in regard to that exhibit.

And glad you enjoyed the Starbucks Coffee we proudly serve at the Midship Marketplace – a recent addition to The Queen Mary and a part of our investment in the renovation/preservation of this historic cruise-liner.

And you are right, a good way to spend a couple of hours…or days! 
We hope to see you aboard the ship again soon!

We are local and took out of town guests. The self tour that used to be free is now overpriced. To top it off, additonal fees are charged for attractions along the tour. Many important parts of the ship are closed. We have scratched this off our tour selection.

Thank you for your feedback. To board The Queen Mary, guests must purchase a ticket – and for $24.95 guests ($13.95 for children) get access to the ship and can go on the popular Self-Guided Tour, experience the famed Ghosts & Legends Show and tour The Queen Mary Story and Historic Exhibits. Some of our ticket changes were put in place to combat vandalism and neglect as we continue to maintain and improve this beautiful ship. (Check out our website for more information on our Conservation Management Plan.)

Depending upon which areas you were attempting to access – for the most part you can. Also right now we are offering Kids Free with any adult paid admission.

And for the locals - we'd love to have you at some of our many events - from Scotsfest, the West Coast BBQ, Rock the Queen, Fourth of July, Shoreline Jam, Art Deco Festival, New Year's Eve, Chill and Dark Harbor - amongst many more - to frequent the ship and enjoy the ship that we all love.

We do hope to see you aboard the ship again soon.

Great old ship and I love visiting. The great ship tour is now gone and replaced by a very quick "ghost tour" with special effects. Quite cheesy and sad but if that's what brings people in. the ship looks quite worn compared to several years ago.

Thank you for your feedback and for your four-star rating. We actually offer many other tours and attractions if ghosts are not your thing… in addition to Ghosts and Legends, Haunted Encounters and our spooky attractions at night, you can check out our The Glory Days tour and learn about all of the celebrities that boarded the ship in her heyday, Her Finest Hour: a WWI Tour detailing The Queen Mary’s service in WWII, a Submarine Tour and of course with the Royal Family all over the TV lately - Diana: Legacy of a Princess Exhibit. Another special treat is our Twilight Historical Tour, which we highly recommend.

Visit our website for more information on The Queen Mary’s Tours and Attractions.

We do hope to see you aboard the ship again soon!

I have wanted to visit the Queen Mary for several years. When I was finally able to do so - she did not disappoint!! I only wish we'd had a full day to explore all of her! We were able to take the Ghosts and Legends tour, the self guided tour, explore the ship on our own and have a drink at the Observation Bar. I would also have loved to see the Princess Diana exhibit and the Russian submarine they have but there just wasn't enough time! I enjoyed myself enough that if I ever get back out to the west coast I will make it a point to visit the Queen Mary again.
