We loved this motel, it was definitely one of the three best properties we stayed at during our 3-week-trip. We didn´t book a room in advance, just showed up and asked for one. Staff was extremely friendly and check-in didn´t take much time. Our room was facing the backyard, but very quiet and spacious. It was clean too, and wireless internet access was available for free. In the bathroom there was a tub with spa function.

Breakfast was also included, they had toast, muffins, bagels, cake, cereals, coffee and juice. The motel is located outside the town of lone pine, where you´ll find some restaurants. It is also near the Alabama Hills and the Visitor Center.

I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I wasn't expecting much, but the rooms were clean, the bathroom was fairly large and new. It had been redone recently and had stone tile floors and granite bathroom counter tops. Definitely more than what was expected from a motel. And best of all, free high speed internet in the room! Just bring your computer, cable and you're set.

The bedroom was on the small side and the heater was very noisy. You have to turn it off at night if you don't want to get woken up every time it goes off. Aside from that, nothing much to complain about.

Lone Pine is a great place to explore both Death Valley and the surrounding mountain areas.

This Best Western is just a motel along the road. But at least this particular road has a great view of the Alabama Hills and Mt. Whitney looming behind it.

As far as the actual hotel I can say that the room was huge and the beds were comfortable, which was nice. We had a light out in the bathroom and they sent someone over to replace it fairly quick, so that was good.

We did a bunch of laundry while we were there and the front desk didn't have quarters, but someone went to the bank to get some, which was nice. And they recommended a great restaurant for dinner (which name I can't remember).

The complimentary breakfast was full of sweets and not very good, but it was free so I can't complain too much.

We stayed at the Best Western for one night after a long drive through Yosemite. Our room was spacious, well furnished, comfortable and quiet. I agree with other reviewers that the outside of the motel is somewhat unprepossessing, but this doesn't really matter once you're in your room. After a good night's sleep we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast - there was a wide range of food on offer, and plentiful amounts of it. After breakfast I got chatting to the staff and the owner about the display of movie memorabilia in the breakfast room. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly.

This is a no frills kind of a place but excellent for a stop off en route to Yosemite or Death Valley.

Arrived after a long day to find a dull uninspiring single storey old fashioned motel. Check in clerk was not at all helpful, rooms were drab and not very pleasant. Only one window which fronted onto the car park and pavement.

Lone Pine has two or three restaurants, one or two very expensive (Don't know why - nothing of great interest in the town), we ended up in a small restaurant on the main street, food OK, but everything closed about 09:30 pm!

Breakfast was uninspiring and the area crowded, people had to eat in the front lobby!

We wished we had stayed in the Comfort Inn or similar locally. Best Western needs to spend some serious money on this place!!!

This hotel was very pleasant to stay at. I checked in late after a long drive and I was not expecting much. The room was inviting and well maintained as well as clean. There was extra coffee and creamer for my morning pot of coffee which pleased me being a coffee drinker. There was a assigned parking space in front of my room, making it convenient bringing your luggage in. We went over to the continental breakfast and they had more options then most with a breakfast sitting area with posters of movies that had been made in the area throughout the years. It was on the South end of town as you head out so it had a beautiful view of Mt Whitney from the breakfast area. I will recommend this hotel to anyone going that route and will gladly stay again.

The hotel had large rooms with good facilities and friendly service. The view of Mount Whitney was superb. Short drive to town with average choice of restuarants although Season's was very good. Recommended for summer visits as there is a good pool area.
