“Well maintained & Good brekky”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

Hotel was well maintained and staff were great. I had an issue with prepayment before i arrived and i cant say how well the manager/ owner handling the situation especially compared with BW head office.
Breakfast was great - its good to get eggs etc not just cereal at these types of breakfasts.
Room was a very good size and there is a pool etc on site

The motel room was a bit tired but the shower was great! Breakfast included was good. My only criticism would be lack of fresh fruit - just a few whole oranges which had seen better days. Gym was well equipt for a tiny place. Ate in town at "seasons" recommend the steak. Staff great. Take a tour round the cowboy film Alabama rocks, they're really picturesque.

My husband stayed here as we needed a hotel between Yosemite and driving through Death Valley. This Best Western is an old style motel with drive up parking outside your door which does make luggage transfer easy. We were in a king bed oversized room round the back of the motel away from the pool area and it was very quiet. The room was spacious with a large sitting area. It was comfortable and clean. It is situated on the outside of town so you have to drive into the restaurants there but it only takes a few minutes. We ate in Seasons restaurant which was Ok but seemed a bit pricey for a place like Lone Pine. Breakfast was complimentary but we thought it was very poor compared to other Best Westerns that we stayed in on our trip, and ended up just having a muffin and a weak cup of coffee in a very cramped, busy breakfast area.

I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and roomy our room was. Super clean, large room with dining table, refridgerator, bar sink, No microwave, but there is one in the breakfast room that can be used. Free WiFi without passwords was great and fast. Our room over looked the desert and the Lone Pine Airport. I stayed 3 nights and I am looking forward to my next visits!
Special thanks for the great service to Krista Donnelly, she was very helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: I would ask for the side that faces the airport. There is a bit of road noise, if that bothers you I...

I went to Lone Pine on the advice of a photographer-friend who suggested I would find the nearby Alabama Hills of interest. There are several motels to choose from in the area, some a little more convenient to the small downtown restaurant district. I chose Best Western because I've always found them clean, in good working order, and friendly. This was no exception, and it was nice to have a parking space directly in front of my door. I have a 2 bed queen room in the farthest part of the back of the property, and it was great. The breakfast wasn't all that great, a typical free motel fare. Nice place. Interesting town. Once a twilight zone episode was filmed in the Alabama Hills. The production crew and cast left, but the Twilight Zone may have remained.

Room Tip: Room 159, as far as you can go in the back, is spacious, and quiet.

We needed a stop over from Northern Cal to southern Cal, so we booked this hotel. This Best Western is a real PLUS. It has nice accommodating features and a good layout. When we checked in we were greeted by Victoria Rico. She is a wonderful and cheerful person. This is my first review and I was motivated to give this shout out for her and my experience.- Thanks Victoria.
