“Wonderful breakfast stop off after death valley.”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

Breakfast stop off after death valley. We saw the cafe up a s side street just off the main drag and remembered I'd seen the name on TA. It looks very ordinary but the food was fantastic and the service excellent; portions massive and great quality. I had the ham and eggs which came wih home fries (and the ham was a huge ham steak which filled one plate, so the home fries and eggs had to go on another plate!) We also had the biscuits and gravy as a side (which I may not have ordered had I known the ham was going to be so big, but they were still lovely too). My husband had the cinnamon french toast which came with eggs & sausage and was equally delicious!! They were really thick slices of french toast and so tasty. The blonde lady who served us (we never got her name) was really friendly and helpful, suggesting we visit the local film museum and she also provided us with some take out cartons for our leftovers and gave us some of their homemade bread to go with it free of charge. Would recommend this place to anyone and only wish we could've stayed in town longer to visit again!

“Great Breakfast!”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

We stayed in the Dow Villas motel and walked over, in the morning, for breakfast before an early start to Death Valley. The cafe was clean and the service was good. The breakfast menu had a wide variety. I chose French Toast (thick and delicious) and my husband had Eggs Benedict.....both were good (although the eggs were too lightly poached for our taste). The portions were huge and neither of us could finish it. The coffee was very good. Prices were in line with what we have been paying everywhere for breakfast for two, with coffee...about $25. Well worth a visit if you find yourself hungry in Lone Pine.

“What a find!”
Reviewed February 26, 2013

It's worth going out of your way to eat here. You'll know as soon as you walk in the door that this place is the real deal; from the wood benches to the hand-painted maps on the walls to the crusty breads in the bakery case, everything says "come on in and enjoy." The portions are a good size for sharing, especially if you want to make sure you have room for a giant piece of apple crisp or peach cobbler--heated with a scoop of ice cream, of course.

Great food and very good service didn't have lunch there, but it's all good. Also check out the fresh bakery that they put up every day!

“Lone Pine Eats”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

The Alabama Hills Cafe is right off the main drag (Hwy 395) and has really good tasting food. It is very cozy (small) and can be really busy. The service is good, however because they are busy can be slow. If you are in hurry either take-out or forget it. I had the BLT Wrap on Wheat Tortilla, huge and yummy. Baked goods/pies always look really great, but have not tried them recently. Visited on 2/9/2013.
