Some recent changes to the lunch menu have been good. Taking away the bran muffins for breakfast not so go. Love the chicken fired steak and eggs, home fires and blueberry muffins. All cooked exactly the way you want them. Service is good and everyone is friendly.

Although only open for breakfast and lunch, this restaurant has a great reputation for its service and variety of available meals. I enjoy their breakfasts especially

We're from Louisiana and boy did this place not do it for us at all but it may not have mattered where we were from: bad is bad.

Despite the fact we are always courteous and respectful of servers everywhere we go, our waitress was downright cranky and failed to bring things we asked for, like water (though she did kind of grudgingly apologize for that when we finally just had to ask someone else for it).

The shrimp and grits, a light and veritable delicacy when well-prepared, came looking and tasting like a bowl of slop, shrimp on top of vat of grits swimming in sausage and cheese grease and fried eggs plopped on top of that (I had to slide my eggs off into my toast plate). The shrimp should have been incorporated throughout the grits and no way should the dish even have contained sausage. Their dreadful "recipe" should be retired posthaste.

You might say well, it's not the Cordon Bleu, but you better know they almost charge like it is. The two of us paid $26 for subpar food and service. Tack on tip and we paid well over $30 for something even godawful IHOP could have done cheaper and better.

If you have to go there for breakfast, stick with super simple, maybe scrambled eggs and toast. Their toast and eggs weren't bad. But whatever you do, don't order a "biscuit." They are big as a baby's head but pretty much inedible. Biscuits are hard to get right for sure, but they don't even come close to getting them right at this place. I hope no one thinks this place serves anything like what they do in Louisiana. The most humble little diner in Louisiana could run circles around this place and for half the price and double the courtesy.

home cooking at its best, reasonable prices ( not cheap) but very reasonable for what you get, we go there often, and have never been dissapointed food is consistantly good service is good if you leave this place hungry you have problems... the loisiana hot sausage is good and spicy, also the best breakfast burrito in lompoc.. get there before 9:00 am on sunday before the church crowd gets there or you will be waiting

The food and the service at Cajun Kitchen is WONDERFUL!! This is by far my favorite place for breakfast, and the bloody mary's are good too!! They always have great specials offered, and the Corned Beef is home made and more than enough to share. They have on in SB that I had been going to for years, I am glad I don't have to drive far to enjoy their great food!!
