This hotel has some of the nicest staff I’ve encountered. Their breakfast is continental but rotates which is nice. The rooms are comfortable and have a home like feeling. Comes with fitness center and pool as well as washer and dryer for $2 a piece.

I’m told that they’re a long term stay property- I don’t know about their long term rates, but this is the nicest looking, long term stay property I’ve seen. And even just for short term stays, in your room you get the benefit of long term guests: full fridge, dishes already in the room (unlike Extended Stay America) and a dishwasher?! Unheard of. The sink even had the extending hose with buttons to increase/decrease water pressure. AND I’ve not seen a TV in a hotel yet where you can sign into your Netflix, YouTube, and more.

Check out the pics.

I recently booked the Turmeric meeting room for a small diner presentation and I was extremely pleased with the entire process. Monica was amazing to work with in all aspects of the event. She was accommodating to all of my requests and was able to work with my budget to ensure all of my event needs were met. The staff were friendly and polite, the space was clean and modern, and the food was great (especially the cheesecake!). I will be sure to use this location again for another business event.

Actually never heard of this Marriott brand before. Was looking to escape the in-season $350 weekend rate for a low end 2-star in Palm Springs. Only 40 minutes out for $159 TownePlace Suites was a fortuitous and delightful unexpected find. Full suite with full kitchen and pullout computer desk and sofa. Large bathroom with big shower. Good breakfast and very friendly staff. It’s a winner in my book for both value and quality. Well done Marriott

Stayed 6 nights, in my view it’s a 3.5 star hotel. Here’s the summary:

Positives
Modern decor
Spacious bathroom
Well laid out rooms with kitchenette
Useful workspace
Convenient access to freeway
Nice pool and hot tub (but did not use)
Coin laundry
Helpful and pleasant staff
Good wifi (we were on free premium wifi for members)
Plenty of parking (hotel was full and never had trouble finding parking)
Netflix/Hulu etc if you log in with your account (did not test this)
TV size and picture was great
Nice little outdoor area to sit with a gas fire
Good foyer with space to sit/meet if needed
Coffee maker in room was appreciated.

Negatives
Room was not serviced one day
Freeway noise - request a quiet room as the noise can be quite substantial with nothing to block the noise from the adjacent freeway
Air conditioner noise (when the fan cuts in it woke us up) - adds 10db of noise inside room which is significant)
Breakfast quality and choice - packaged scrambled eggs or mini ‘omelette’ reheated, packaged sausages reheated ... if only they would add a staff member to cook fresh eggs/omelettes it would make a huge difference to the feel and quality of breakfast - could add a little more choice with not much effort
TV location - on a side wall which is neither ideal for watching from the couch or bed (it does swivel slightly though)
Elevator noise - the elevator bell is extremely loud. Do not get a room near the elevator. It also rings twice when it arrives at a floor.
Minimal cooking equipment so self catering would be quite limited I think.

I would stay again but might be tempted to try the Holiday Inn right next door (and which appears about the same age of building). We were fortunate to have a room away from the freeway and lift, but you may not be so lucky.

Would not hesitate to rate it very good with an improved breakfast and attention to HVAC noise.
