We joined Havest Hosts, a network of wineries that provide space to park RVs over night for free. We found Van Ruiten Family wines on the web site. I called and was told that it would be welcome to stay. When we arrived, we were pointed to the RV parking and informed that the tasting room closed at 5:00. We set up (dry) & then took a stroll to the tasting room. Very beautiful room, acoustically challenged but filled with the sounds of people gathering to sample wines and share a story or two. We settled in for some samples, chose our 2 favorites, purchased and retired to our RV for a well deserved rest

We enjoyed the tasting here. It was very casual with one of the owners right there while we tasted. The tasting room itself is nothing special. However, the server was very well informed and it was special to have the owner there. We bought a bottle as they would apply tasting fee for us. This was probably the best value tasting & wine bottle prices in Lodi. Nice visit and easy to get to!

The wines here were very interesting. I loved their rose and chardonnay. The tasting room had some interesting items to browse and buy. There was a great outdoor area where a band was just warming up. The staff were friendly and keen to help without being pushy.

Happened in on this winery last year for the first time and am back for periodic wine club pickups. A smallish tasting room is made larger with the adjoining outdoor patio type area. As with many area wineries there is often weekend music. Check ahead.
Our host stayed with a very few people at a time giving excellent service and knowledge. Tasting fee is waved with a wine purchase. Limousine groups are wise to check ahead.

This was a very fun winery on our wine tasting day. My husband was thrilled that they serve Gelato. I was thrilled with the number of wines to taste. Very good wines, friendly staff. The day we were there they had music out on the patio. I very much enjoyed being there.
