Hotel is just off 580 Freeway East, about 35 miles east of Oakland. Easy access to Freeway, fuel / convenience located next door. Hotel looks beautiful as you approach, nicely lit at night, well landscaped. Small parking lot in front. Check-in was fairly quick, front desk clerk cheerful and friendly. My King Room was on the 3rd Floor as I had requested, room was small but bathroom was huge (mostly empty space). Fairly nicely furnished, but carpet was very worn and badly stained, and although the furniture might have been nice once, now it is fairly beat-up and worn out. The AC unit worked great. The bed was comfortable, although very low to floor (appeared to not have a bed frame underneath). Nice modern TV with satellite channels, many many channels & great picture. Fiddled with shower quite a while to get water at a usable temperature and pressure. The hotel was quiet overnight, quick check-out in morning. Price paid seemed way too high considering location outside of Silicon Valley and not within any large city.

As Quality Inns go, in my experience this was one of the better ones. My only real criticism was the amount of room to room noise there was. The night my wife and I stayed there, there weren't a lot of guests, so it was surprising to us that we had so many neighbors, when we could have been spaced out a little bit more. No one was particularly loud or obnoxious, just the usual sounds of people arriving, setting up, showering etc. but we could hear a fair amount. The highway noise was also audible even though it was a pretty far away. The property is on the edge of town, so restaurants etc. are a little drive away. The room itself was comfortable, had better than average size, comfortable chair and large bathroom. Wifi was fine. The bed was a little soft and springy for my taste, but I got a reasonable night's sleep. The breakfast area is small and laid out kind of oddly, I was always going around looking for things. Selections were the usual faire at Choice properties. The front desk staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. For me that makes a huge difference in how I feel about a place. In summary, I thought for the Bay area it was a good value, it served us well and I would consider staying there again.

This hotel has very clean rooms with comfortable beds and lots of space. Includes mini- frig. Prices are very reasonable for this area. Close to Lawrence Livermore Lab (5 minutes). Located off Vasco road in a slightly hard place to find. I expect this area is targeted for hotel/restaurant growth in the future but you have to drive 5-10 minutes to most restaurants, etc. The hotel breakfast is standard - nothing special- but not bad.
