The LRI is our favorite runaway in Northern California. You will experience family quality hospitality with the highest quality in terms of cleanliness, food, service and general thoughtfulness. The Inn has a room for a all budgets and tastes: original and fireplace rooms, the fancier (think jet tubs, etc) rooms and even some special cabins right at the ocean. We eat most meals at the Inn-they are hard to top! There is also a golf course, spa, wineries along the highway and a sweet little artist cooperative/antique store on sight. It is hard not to rave about the place, but the bottom line is the care and consideration of the folks who work here that make it a grand place to visit. We keep returning year after year.

My husband and I, and a group of our friends, stay at the Little River Inn every May when we come for the Pinot Noir Wine Festival in Anderson Valley. Little River Inn has everything you need - We golf, eat at the fabulous on-site restaurant, have a cocktail at the bar which overlooks the Pacific, sit in the rocking chairs on our own veranda and enjoy the wood fireplace in our room. My parents came here for years and we are glad to carry on a most enjoyable tradition. The Inn is family owned and you can certainly tell by the way everyone, from the housekeeping staff, desk clerks, bartender and restaurant staff go out of their way to make you feel special. We have travelled all over the world and I can truly say that the Little River Inn is one of our top picks of a perfect get-away!

Room Tip: We love the fireplace rooms nearest the inn

Little River Inn is located directly on Highway 1 but the street noise is limited. We had a traditional ocean view room which was ok. The décor was not our taste, but your eyes wander to the ocean quickly. The deck outside is shared with others but we had quiet neighbours. It is nice to sit in the provided chairs with a glass of wine and enjoy the sunset.

We had early dinner at the bar with great views as well. My Cajun fish sandwich had a truly fresh fish which was delicious. I didn´t care for the plastic bun and the fries. Nice selection of Microbrews so we could do a little tasting. The waitress is a character. She is not young anymore and indicated she has worked here for ages. And she has a great sense of humour while being very effective at the same time. With only one helper she serviced 25+ people food and drinks. Very nice evening we had there.

This place was great. There was a little confusion about our room, but the front desk responded to this quickly and graciously. Everybody was friendly, and the grounds are very pretty. We loved our room: fireplace, spa tub, fireplace, ocean view, real cotton bedspreads (not polyester), private deck with adirondack chairs, refrig. to store wine, etc., little coffeemaker with good coffee available. Everything about our stay was fantastic -- so relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed it. (Note: the t.v.'s are small and old-school -- not flatscreen), so if you're planning on watching movies, be prepared to sit real close). However, we did see the smaller rooms and while the views were fantastic, they were much more modest: polyesther bedspreads, reg. tub, shared porch, no refrigerator -- but they also cost less, so while the experience is not nearly so decadent, you're still getting amazing coastal views for your money. But, if you want the whole experience, upgrade to the fireplace/spa tub rooms and you'll be more than happy.

We stayed here two nights and found the place charming with lovely views. The room was very clean with comfortable beds. Our room had gorgeous views of the coast with no obstructions. Rocking chairs on the deck completed the blissful location. We also ate dinner at the inn and although a little pricey the quality made it worthwhile. Food was up to San Francisco standards.

Room Tip: We had the traditional room.

Little River is a great place to stay! I come here every year with my company & we love it. The staff are friendly & if you need anything they will help you. The rooms are quaint & the view is beautiful. I usually get room service & their food is delicious! Their breakfast is out of this world. A good place to go rest & relax!

Room Tip: the rooms on the right hand side are the nicest.

The spectacular view from our Ocean View Room, combined with amazing meals in the restaurant, comfortable beds, eco-amenities by "Bee Kind" which were wonderful, genuinely friendly staff, spacious comfort including a fully-flowering red rhododendron right outside our front door made our stay unforgettable. We were so impressed that the highway never seemed to be a noise problem both because of the ocean sound and the shape of the bluff that mostly obscures the road.
