We had dinner here recently. We got off to a rocky start, but fortunately the food made up for it. We had dinner reservations at 7, arrived about 5 minutes early and the waitress/hostess asked us to give her a minute. We weren’t seated until 7:20, but hadn’t been told it’d take that long, so it was aggravating. They have about 10 tables and 2 waitstaff - should be enough, but clearly it isn’t. Hire a busboy!! We brought wine and we charged the $20 corkage fee, although all she did was open it and pour it once. The food, however, was so good that we would go back in spite of service shortfalls. We had the bouillabaisse and the halibut. Being east coasters, we’re not loving the fish here, but I have to say that was the best halibut I have ever had, anywhere. Very generous thick cut piece cooked to perfection. It’s served in a coconut broth, which doesn’t sound appealing, but believe me, it is. All the fish was very fresh and delicious. I had the homemade vanilla ice cream with hot chocolate sauce, which was excellent but quite overpriced at $12. It was our anniversary though, so I had it anyway! If you want good seafood, have it there, just don’t expect the room (small and cramped) or the service to be at the level of the food.

This small restaurant prepares remarkably well prepared and imaginative fish dishes. We had the halibut and sole dishes and both were exceptionally tasty. We had a great meal. Reservations are a must.

Wild Fish is quite expensive, but the quality is there. Highly recommended, particularly for a special occasion

We had heard a lot about Wild Fish from many people who both lived locally or were just visiting. The earliest we could get in was 9:15, the last seating, but it was well worth the wait.

We started with the seafood platter that consisted of oysters, ceviche, roasted mussels, smoked sablefish rillette, and shrimp cocktail. The mussels and broth were to die for and we soaked our nori sourdough in the juice it was so good. The sablefish has a crisp skin and a very delicate, flavorful white meat cooked to perfection. The halibut in Thai Curry was well cooked and delicious too. The Bok Choy had an interesting Moroccan spice and flavor very different than what most people are use to when eating bok choy, but it was a nice change o taste. It was too bad we were wined out from an afternoon in Anderson Valley or we would have tried some of the pairings. We will definitely be back.

Half a dozen oysters, ahi tuna rare and a whole red snapper! What a beautiful dinner. Loved the Migaki oysters served with lemon and mignonette.... the whole red snapper was baked and crispy skinned with spiced with nam prik dipping sauce and herb salad, ahi tuna in nobu oil, with braised bok choy and roasted asparagus- what a feast! Enjoyed the Roederer Champagne and Carpe Diem Chardonnay. Around $170 for two, one starter, two mains, two glasses of wine and gratuities. Most enjoyable dining in a long trip and great setting beside the ocean!

My wife and I made reservations, which are highly recommended, for this small gem. We arrived a few minutes early, had a glass of wine, and were seated on schedule. Within minutes we we asked if we wanted to move to a more scenic table, which we did. Our server was excellent along with the rest of the small staff.

We asked our server to have the chef prepare his recommendations for us considering all that was fresh from the ocean and in season. In all honesty we did this because the menu was loaded with so many wonderful options, mostly seafood, that we could not decide.

What followed was simply amazing. The chef prepared a couple appetizers, salads, and entrees that were comprised of Morel mushrooms, micro greens, fresh flowers, Sea Urchin, Halibut, and salmon just to name a few ingredients that stood out. THe presentation was beyond words. The intensity of the fresh flavors was so present, but not overwhelming. We asked the Chef for wine pairings for each coarse, and he did not disappoint with whites and a pinot from the area.

Service, food, presentation, friendliness, view, all 5+ star. Amazing and highly recommended. We asked the chef for a signed menu, which he graciously took back to the kitchen for signatures and declared they deserved as much credit as he did. I loved his philosophy as everyone in his restaurant was part of the team and they as a team created the experience we so enjoyed. Very memorable...

I am going to reference Chef Michael's words in my business as it was a perfect example of how a team can accomplish so much more than one.
