For our last night in the area, we decided to spurge and were so happy with our choice. Wild Fish had a great salmon main meal, friendly owners and a cozy feel. The salmon collar special was also very good. We enjoyed chatting with them about how they prepared their very fresh seafood and their hopes and dreams for their family endeavor.

Best wishes to the Jacobs and Wild Fish!

Fantastically adorable restaurant serving freshest catches - farm to table….
Small restaurant settled behind a gas station and convenient store however with a beautiful view of the North Coast. Trek over to Wild Fish, it's worth it!

In Southern California the restaurants by and large are big and pretentious. The food looses it's intimacy. Not here. Wild Fish is a quaint, 8 table, restaurant which oozes charm and personality. The ingredients are locally sourced and skillfully crafted into simple but flavorful meals. The wine pairings were spot on from mostly small wineries. The service was friendly and professional. Make a reservation and come enjoy this gem.

Such a gem. Only has 9 tables so definitely call before you go. Great fish and not much else so if you're looking for a choice of meats, this is not the place but the fish is wild and delicious. Kelvin is a charming host and his pride in his restaurant shows. The Cod and Halibut are great as is the cured salmon and halibut ceviche. We only had 3 nights in the area and went twice.

The restaurant is quite small - and furnished and lit beautifully. The menu is wonderful and varied, and the execution superb. This is fine dining, from the perfectly put together tarragon pesto black cod, to the nuanced clam chowder, perfectly sautéed fingerling potatoes. I also enjoyed the seafood risotto - nicely done with crab, local fish, prawns and fresh lemon squeezed over the top which gave the dish a nice kick. The bread was delicious - light and fluffy and addictive. Compliments to the chef!

A bit of history - the little building this restaurant occupies has supported many iterations of restaurants over the decades. The unique location, proximity to the large Little River Inn have provided the basis for a number of wonderful restaurants with word of mouth reputations heard far and wide - way before yelp or Trip Advisor existed. I remember eating here in the early 70s - so I'm happy to see that the tradition of fine food continues here.

Great place for a romantic dinner of lunch while traveling the Northern California coast.
