The restaurant is quite small - and furnished and lit beautifully. The menu is wonderful and varied, and the execution superb. This is fine dining, from the perfectly put together tarragon pesto black cod, to the nuanced clam chowder, perfectly sautéed fingerling potatoes. I also enjoyed the seafood risotto - nicely done with crab, local fish, prawns and fresh lemon squeezed over the top which gave the dish a nice kick. The bread was delicious - light and fluffy and addictive. Compliments to the chef!
A bit of history - the little building this restaurant occupies has supported many iterations of restaurants over the decades. The unique location, proximity to the large Little River Inn have provided the basis for a number of wonderful restaurants with word of mouth reputations heard far and wide - way before yelp or Trip Advisor existed. I remember eating here in the early 70s - so I'm happy to see that the tradition of fine food continues here.
Great place for a romantic dinner of lunch while traveling the Northern California coast.
