“Bottom Line - It's a Casino!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2014

The hotel is pretty nice; rooms are spacious, very nicely appointed, bathrooms are huge! Signs everywhere saying it is a nonsmoking hotel, but if you forgot your cigarettes, just take a deep breath and you won't miss them. Can't get to the hotel from the parking garage without going through the casino; that is, if you want to use the elevators. You can hike down the stairs and around to the front of the hotel. We ate at the buffet. Lots of choices, pretty inexpensive but you are easily reminded that you get what you pay for. Wouldn't want to eat there again. Nothing really wrong with the food, but very mediocre. Rooms were clean. Pool is very nice! Guest services staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. All in all we had a good time, but it is much less a resort and definitely a casino.

The Hotel and Casino were stunning. We arrived late on a Wednesday for a quick stay. Check in was quick and easy, everyone was very friendly. The access the elevators you do need an active room key (Which is a nice touch) keeps out unwanted traffic. The room was well appointed and the beds were extremely comfortable.

The casino floor is pretty large with a wide selection of games to pick from. Being as its a local hotel and casino it was still pretty crowded even for a Wednesday evening, though there was no lack of ability to get on a machine and play.

We ate at the Thunder Cafe and the portions were fairly large for breakfast and the food came out fresh and HOT - Very nice.

I will stay here again should the opportunity arise.

Room Tip: There is a $15 a night resort fee - but then who does not charge for that these days

Parking was free to this attraction and inside provided the usual array of casino games. Gone are the days of free drinks at casinos, but smoking is alive and gasping at this establishment. I am not sure how the stakes compare, but we walked away without winning back the $20 we agreed to spend. It was fun in a way, but definitely needed a clean-up afterward to remove the smoke smell.

When you think of Lincoln, California, odds are a high value resort hotel doesn't come to mind. But the Thunder Valley Casino Resort will definitely change your mind. The rooms are very clean and spacious with amenities such as coffee and tea included. The rooms are both modern and chic and makes you forget your not in a big town. While at the hotel, we used the pool area that is also very clean, spacious and modern. With a sizeable pool, hot tub and cabanas outfitted with plasma televisions, it is sure to please any taste. The hotel staff are courteous and professional and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and special. We've used the spa in the past, and it's five star quality. There are a number of places to eat, and the food is excellent!!! I would have given it a perfect rating, but the casino primarily allows smoking. The smoke permeates through the facility, and this cost it a valuable mark.

The pool, the casino, the restaurants, the spa. All great things to do. The pool's DJ is super fun. The spa is tough to get into. Make an appointment upon arrival. The spa products are GREAT! The rooms are very accommodating and quiet. You will not be disappointed with your room. And if you are lucky, your slots will pay for your room like my luck did! Three nights "free"! :)

Room Tip: Higher floors will be away from the casino and pool noise...We overlooked desert area.

The rooms are very clean and up scale . The bathrooms are spacious with entra large cotton towels . The resturants serve great meals with reasonable prices. Love the security, the only way to use the elevators is if you have a room key. The selection of slot machines is outstanding. They also have a food court with a Star bucks. The whole resort is very beautiful and we go there about every 6 weeks. It's close to shopping which I love! We highly recommend staying! They also have an outdoor theater With popular singers and groups! They have a beautiful Bar and while you are gaming they have waitresses that will serve you free non alcoholic drinks and alcohol drinks for a fee! There is a very nice outdoor swimming pool.
