We'd recommend the burgers & the long list of homemade pies!!!! We had peach crumble with vanilla ice-cream... yummy!

Dinner here was among suggestions from our Mono Lake canoe tour guide, and we are sorry to say that it does not compare well with his recommendations or with other resorts or cafes we've visited. The highway location outside Yosemite's eastern gate is stunning, and the history of the lodgings and restaurant is interesting. We have enjoyed hot chocolate all over the country, and this may be the first we've seen it served with no whipped cream. The sliced chicken on my husband's dinner salad was dry and seemed unevenly microwaved. Our waitress of nine summers here seemed overtaxed with up to 13 guests in 6 parties, forgetting my husband's salad dressing and items for another table, and repeatedly missing a takeout order of pies. My potatoe salad and avocado BLT were tasty, the croissant flaky and golden brown, but it was a messy sandwich since the tops of both halves were missing over a bite on each end. The full-time baker produces an impressive array of treats that look and sound wonderful, but we unfortunately did not get to. We could have done without being greeted by the manager's thong as she was bending over when we entered the lobby/gift shop, but more unfortunate is that the paper towels for the wash basin are hung on the wall over framed art. I wish we had the experience that others have enjoyed here, but overall, this seems a good bet for dine-in dessert and opportunity for improvement by management.

Stopped here for sandwiches twice for hiking, once for breakfast. They have real turkey and delicious croissants, in a wonderful knotty pine vernacular mountain style room. Good for families, and faster than the crowded facility up in the park. Clean restroom, too!

Very small, cozy cafe with great food. Staff was very friendly. It all looked delicious, but save room for pie.

This is a must stop location for lunch or breakfast. Everything is very fresh and the service was friendly and attentive. I was so surprised to find such a great find for lunch and can not say enough good things about this place, just do yourself a favor and stop.
