Located right on US 395, just north of the road that takes you to the Yosemite National Park entrance, this motel is a convenient stop whether you're visiting the park, Mono Lake or just passing through. The rooms are quite small but well kept. (There seems to be a small problem keeping the light bulbs working). The garden is lovely and is a great place to take your coffee or muffin in the morning.
Note that several of the rooms have shared bathrooms which may be several doors away.
Spending a lot of time in resort towns myself I understand the need to take advantage of short vacation seasons, but I will say that I found the place a tad overpriced for what you got - particularly the shared bathrooms. Internet service was slow both times that we stayed. I suspect there isn't a whole lot of competition in the town as well, so it's nice to have a clean reliable place.
I have no problem recommending that you stay here, but it's an overnighter rather than a mutl-day place.
