“Great location in Marin Co”
Reviewed March 29, 2014 via mobile

We found this place after checking out of another Marin Co hotel. The location of this hotel is great if you are exploring Marin County and the San Francisco area. There is a really nice outdoor mall with restaurants and shops right across the street. The hotel was very clean and the room was large and comfortable.

Stayed here in October of 2013 as I was in town for my cousin's wedding. The grounds were beautiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The outdoor pool was beautiful even though the weather in October was getting cool. The room was spacious and we really enjoyed the shops and market across the street. The ferry is conveniently located across the street. This came in handy when we headed into San Francisco and the BART strike was going on. The shops also had a food truck event on Sunday which was the day we stayed at the hotel before going to the wedding. I am fascinated by the food truck scene so I thought it was really cool that this was offered right across the street from the hotel. Hoping my cousin's brother who is now engaged decides against getting married on a cruise just so we can come back and have a good excuse to stay here again!

Great location, clean & quiet. Stayed here so many times and have even written about how much I enjoyed my stay. However, they have done something to the towels, they are no longer luxurious -- they are gym towels! I washed my face and it felt like sandpaper upon drying with the hand towel. Shortly after my husband says the shower is amazing but the towels suck! I knew it was time to write a review. Please go back to the other towels, they really do make a difference in choosing where I stay, just saying!

I just had a great experience at the Courtyard Larkspur Landing. Come to think of it.. it was the most enjoyable, problem-free, relaxing Hotel experience I've had in a long time! My parents had stayed at this Courtyard about 2 yrs. ago and they were raving about it then. So they insisted we stay there again this trip to Marin. We stayed this past weekend and we couldn't have been more happy.
The Hotel is in such a beautiful, quiet, peaceful location. The Staff at check-in was really friendly and sweet. The lobby was updated and modern but not pretentious. The grounds were well-kept and clean.
We had a beautiful (CLEAN!)large room with a balcony and view of the green mountains and beautiful trees. The beds were extrememly comfortable, the bathroom was big really clean and had the vanity seperate from the shower and toilet (which I love). The TV was large and had a lot of channels to choose from. The decor was comfortable and chic. we all slept really good, I don't think I've ever slept this good in a hotel before!? I could go on and on and on and on.
We stayed for 3 days and I could have stayed there for a week! The rates were very reasonable for the area. The location is great for visiting local townes like Sausolito and Tiburon. The Marin Brewing Company and other restauraunts accross the street are in a cool shopping center where they had live jazz music playing outdoors. Theres a Movie theatre right down the street. I really can't wait to return to this Hotal again I really have nothing bad to say about it and that is rare! If you are considering it, just try it. You won't be disappointed. :)
Thank you Courtyard Larkspur Landing! We had a great getaway!

This is the second stay at this property for us as the hotel location is convenient for our annual Sonoma Wine country visit. The property and the room was clean, bed was still as comfortable as last year's experience. However, this time the A/C Heating unit was very noisy on this night with a loud bang every time the unit started up. So one star less this time around.

Location

The hotel is a good option outside downtown SF, with the ferry into San Francisco in the complex across the main road. It’s also just off Highway 101, gateway to points north of the Bay into Marin County, and Sonoma and Napa wine country. It’s also convenient off I-580/ Richmond-San Rafael Bridge. The Main Airporter is right next door, for those looking for a convenient airport transfer option.

Though conveniently located, the area itself is a quiet neighborhood—we enjoyed the fall foliage while we were there. Across the drive lies Marin County Mart, a somewhat upscale mini-mall with good food places and interesting shops.

Sleep Quality

The beds are very comfortable, but if you’re jet-lagged and still on a different time zone, make sure you have the do not disturb sign in place because housekeeping knocks at around 9 am. They also check rooms at 3 pm regardless of “do not disturb” signs, so make arrangements with housekeeping if you really do not wish to be disturbed during a mid-day siesta.
.
Rooms

The rooms are comfortable and well set-up for work. There’s a good sized desk, including a movable desk extension. The desk lamp and bedside lamps have two outlets at their bases for charging various gadgets easily (no need to crawl under the tables!). The rooms also have a coffee machine that takes in the complimentary single serve pouches, although the Starbucks coffee station is also open for breakfast until 10 am. Toothbrushes, shaves, and toiletry articles beyond the basic Paul Mitchell soap + shampoo + lotion are not complimentary but available at the Market near the front desk.

Wi-fi is free and decent for email and social media and basic surfing, but power users have the option of going high speed for a fee (which we did not try).

Service and other facilities

The staff members are generally helpful, although not very warm. There is no vending machine, but the Market next to the front desk offers food, including soups and sandwiches that can be warmed in the Market’s microwave, for those feeling puckish. There are drinks, snacks, toiletries, adaptors, and other useful things for travelers. The coin laundry has a single washer and dryer, but detergent is part of the cycle. There’s a gym, and for those who want to keep warm, a cozy spa tub at one end of the hotel. Those without their computers can use the business center, which can also print boarding passes.

Dining

There’s a complimentary coffee bar until 10 am. The Bistro serves breakfast choices from the traditional to the healthy, and, at night, light supper selections that, though limited in range, are quite delicious. I developed an addiction to their surprisingly good pot stickers. The service staff were friendly, efficient and accommodating of our requests. The Bistro area is also a comfortable place, and the lobby lounge by the fireplace is wonderful for a cozy chat.

We wish the rates were a bit better, but it seems that the whole neighborhood has gone upscale, and this was certainly a better deal than staying in downtown San Francisco, or deep in Napa Valley. Overall, this place was a great find, and a good option for those who want to be close by San Francisco but also have business at, or wish to explore, the northern side of the Bay Area.

Room Tip: The elevators can be noisy, so it's probably a good idea not to stay right next door to them.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. I had absolutely no complaints. Oh, and if you want to take the ferry into San Francisco, you can catch it directly across the street. There are also places to eat in a mall-ish type place right next door. I would definitely stay again.
